Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this modern era, people becomes very advanced. The thinking of humans is totally changed. The individuals buy those things that are new. This is a trend of the era. This is the reason nowadays business enterprises typically emphasize in their advertising that their products are new in some respect. From my perspective, it is positive development.
One of the main reason, the technology has many advance in this era, and citizen focus on those things that is new because the older products may be they are already in their use. For instance, if a person use a mobile phone, there are many features in this phone. Any company will be launched a new mobile. Before launching the mobile, the company reveals the advertisements about this mobile. In these posters, they describe a new features and explain this mobile is more constructive rather than older mobiles. After launched the mobile, the youth generation buy this mobile because they checked new features, how this mobile is best from other. This is the reason in advertising the company or businesses nowadays emphasise that their mobile or other products are new.
Another main reason, nowadays the competition is very high due to artificial intelligence. Every business works hard for growing their business. The aim of every company makes best products those people purchase more. They mention in poster, reels, videos, benefits also describes how their products is best from other. Such as, initially the company employee check or monitor the demand of the customer. They make products according their demand, which can fulfil their demand. Simultaneously, they going to advertising their products. They describe their features and make interesting reels, poster, which engaged the customer. As a result, the name of company grows and maintain reputation. That's why they show their products are new.
In conclusion, the business wants work hard, and citizen wants new things which is better from other and fulfil the demands of the customer. This is the reason I thinks it is a positive development show in advertisement their products or things are new.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you explain that consumers are attracted to new features and that businesses use advertising to compete, and you clearly state that you see this as positive. The mobile-phone example helps illustrate the first reason, while the discussion of customer demand and company reputation supports the second. However, the positive judgement is asserted more than evaluated: you do not explain clearly why this trend benefits consumers or society, nor consider any possible drawbacks. Some points, such as the link between artificial intelligence and competition, are introduced but not fully explained. Develop the reasons with clearer cause-and-effect reasoning and connect each example directly to your view.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your position. Sequencing phrases such as “For instance,” “As a result,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, particularly through repeated phrases such as “This is the reason” and “They describe.” Some references are also unclear: in “they checked new features,” it is not immediately clear who “they” refers to. The second body paragraph moves from competition to customer research and reputation without fully showing how each point connects. Use more varied linking and make the relationships between ideas explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to advertising and business, including “features,” “demand,” “competition,” and “reputation,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts to use more specific expressions, such as “artificial intelligence” and “fulfil their demand.” However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “new,” “things,” and “products,” and several word choices or collocations sound unnatural. For example, “the thinking of humans is totally changed” and “more constructive rather than older mobiles” do not express the intended ideas precisely. Build a wider set of natural phrases for product innovation, consumer appeal, and market competition, and check that each word fits its context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including examples with “because,” “which,” and “as a result,” and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, control is inconsistent, especially in longer constructions. Examples include “people becomes,” “One of the main reason,” and “the company employee check,” where agreement or number is incorrect. Verb forms are also problematic in “Any company will be launched” and “After launched the mobile.” Articles and sentence structure need attention as well, as in “a new features.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause, although your main message remains accessible. Practise building accurate complex sentences and check subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and singular/plural nouns during revision.
