Student answer (Band 4.5)

Nowdays busineses usually emphasise in thier advertising that, their products are new in some way, because traditionally most people use the walls or panaflix to advertised their company name instead of their product, so it leads to negative consequences but today most of people use social media platform or some other internet tools to advertised their products. and accoding to mine, it is beneficial for their prducts.

Regarding the product that company tend to show as new in some way, because companies believes that, previously they used the traditional methods for advertising their product but it is very limited, costly and required alot of effort to follow these method. After putting alot of effort, companies were still limited and could not promote their product they want to be.

However, Currently people are using different method and techniques to promote their product as a new one from their competitor. Like companiese are using SOE or socila media patform for instance instagram and faceboook etc to promote their product. Because these tools helps to update their products within a second rather than by requirring alot of effort as traditional methods required. And these new methods can also help to update or edit the information of product whenever it want to change it. So, it has more benefits rather than traditional methods

At the last, I conclude that company used different methods and techniques to promte their products as a new one. And I believe it has not ony postive outcomes towards company but also for customer who want to buy new trended service from company.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a clear overall opinion that this development is beneficial, and you mention possible advantages for both companies and customers. However, the response only partly answers the question because it focuses mainly on how advertising methods have changed from traditional media to social media, rather than explaining why businesses emphasise that their products are new. The claim that older methods were costly and limited is relevant background, but the link to promoting novelty needs to be made explicit. Your view that customers want “new trended service” is also not explained or supported with a specific example. Develop the reasons for highlighting newness and weigh its effects more fully to make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, so there is an attempt to organise the discussion into stages. Connectors such as “However” and “At the last” also signal movement between ideas. Nevertheless, the progression is difficult to follow because the first paragraph combines the history of advertising, a claim about negative consequences and your positive opinion without clearly linking them. The second and third paragraphs repeat the contrast between traditional and newer methods, while “Regarding” begins an incomplete thought. Some references, such as “these tools” and “it,” are not always clear. Give each paragraph one distinct purpose and use linking phrases to show how each point answers the task.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some vocabulary relevant to advertising and technology, including “traditional methods,” “social media platform,” “promote” and “competitor.” This gives the response a basic range for discussing the topic. However, vocabulary is often repetitive or imprecise: “new in some way,” “different method and techniques” and “update their products” do not clearly express the idea of presenting a product as innovative. There are also frequent spelling errors, including “Nowdays,” “busineses,” “accoding” and “prducts,” which make the writing less fluent to read. Choose more precise topic language and check spelling carefully; for example, distinguish updating an advertisement from changing the product itself.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a contrast introduced by “However” and a reason introduced by “because.” Some basic meaning is understandable, but control is uneven, particularly in longer sentences. For example, “Regarding the product that company tend to show as new in some way, because companies believes…” is not a complete, well-formed sentence, and “these tools helps” has a subject–verb agreement error. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “the traditional methods” and “different method and techniques.” Punctuation creates further problems, especially the comma after “that” and the run-on opening sentence. Practise complete sentence structures, agreement and punctuation before adding more complex clauses.
