Student answer (Band 5.5)
As we know that this is the era of technology and the AI has revolutionaized our lives. Nowadays, we experience that there are alot of new business have been arrived in the world and in towns. There are different kinds of techniques to introduce businesses. Some businesses have very good products and some has average so they use advertisement to introduce their products to gain the attention of customers and to make higher profit. Nowadyas, businesses emphasize that their products are new in some way in their advertisement ads. I think it is a positive development.
According to my perspective, I think that it is a positive development because as we know that there are different kinds of products are available in market and every product has his own ability. They use advertisement method to show that our product is new and is very special from the old one and in compare to other products. They do that because thay want to attract more and more customers and when many customers buy their products then obviously they get more profit. Another main reason of showing that their product is somehow new from others because they know that their are many kinds of products are also avaliable in the market and they also challenge these produsts. So if do not use this kind of advertising method then they remain backword in this field.
For example, if we talk about mobile phones, As we know that there are many kinds of phone have been introduced in the market. So, they use advertisement to sell more and more phone and make more customers. For instance, if I talk about Iphone as we know that this brand launch new model every year and use different kinds of new features to make their brand some how unique from other brands. They use advertisement method and make new ads of their new model for higher sales.
In a nutshell, business use different kinds of methds to introduce their products and make uniqueness of their products from other ones. So, they use advertisement to introduce their products and being famous in the market. According to my point of view, it is a positive development.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear opinion that this is a positive development and identify a relevant reason: businesses highlight novelty to attract customers and increase sales. The mobile-phone example, especially the annual iPhone launches, also supports your discussion. However, the task asks both why businesses do this and whether it is positive or negative, and the explanation of the positive effects remains quite narrow. The response mainly repeats that advertising attracts buyers and raises profit; it does not explain in much detail how consumers or innovation benefit, nor consider possible drawbacks before justifying your view. Develop the reasons with specific consequences and make the positive judgement more fully supported. The response meets the task’s minimum length.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph explaining businesses’ motives, an example, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the general argument, and the phone example is placed appropriately after the explanation. However, progression within paragraphs is limited because several sentences repeat the same point about attracting customers and making profit. Linking phrases such as “According to my perspective,” “Another main reason,” and “In a nutshell” are used, but some connections are mechanical or do not introduce a distinct idea. References such as “they” and “their products” can also be unclear when several businesses or products are being discussed. Group related points more tightly and use clearer references and transitions to show how each idea develops.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “advertisement,” “customers,” “profit,” “products,” and “features.” There are also attempts to express comparison and novelty, such as “unique from other brands.” However, the range is limited and several phrases are repetitive or imprecise, including repeated use of “use advertisement method” and “new in some way.” Spelling errors such as “revolutionaized,” “avaliable,” and “produsts” are noticeable, while phrases such as “make uniqueness” are not natural collocations. These choices sometimes make the argument less clear or fluent. Build a wider set of accurate expressions for product innovation and consumer appeal, and check spelling and collocations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the reader can generally understand your central message. However, the range is limited, and attempts to combine clauses often contain errors. For example, “there are different kinds of products are available in market” has an incorrect clause structure, while “there are many kinds of phone have been introduced” combines incompatible verb patterns. Subject–verb agreement and articles are also inconsistent, as in “some has average” and “in the market.” Sentence boundaries and capitalization need attention, particularly in “For instance, if I talk about Iphone as we know…”. Practise building accurate complex sentences with one clear subject and verb in each clause, and check agreement, articles, and punctuation.
