Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, Advertising the products that really helps the bussiness. However, some businesses to earn more money they promotes their fake items as a real items. This kind of advertising have both positive or negative impact in development.

One major advantage of advertising is business growth. This is because promiting help the business owner to sell their product in easy and convinent way. For instance, my friend used bake a delicious cake, muffins and pies. But, she is not able to sell that many items. After distributing pemplate of her bakery shop, the result turn out great for her. She opened her bakery shop in town and other five people work under her. Another benefits is that people gets more job oppertunities. For example, when company grows they need more people for work balance.

However, there are also some disadvanges. The main disadvanatge is Unreal, old or fake products gets promoted. Because of so much promotion, people started believe that this product is real and relaible. At the end, peoples money get waisted on this kind of promotions. For example, my mother used to watch one TV show. Where, they sell kitchens pots, plates, cooker any many more. The way they promote the items, it looks real and reliable. Another disadvantage is, because of this type of fake companies consumers sometime dont believe the trustworthy companies.

In conclsion, businesses usually emphasise their product are new in using the advertisement. This has several benefits for the businesses however it has many drawbacks also.I think it is negative development to promote old or fake items to real and relaible items.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall view in the conclusion, calling the development negative, and you include relevant examples about your friend’s bakery and your mother’s television shopping programme. However, the response only partly addresses the question: it focuses mainly on advertising’s general benefits and harms, rather than explaining why businesses emphasise that products are new. The claim that promotion helps a business grow is relevant, but the explanation of why novelty is highlighted is missing. Your position is also not fully consistent: the introduction says advertising has “both positive or negative impact,” while the conclusion gives a negative judgement. Develop the reasons for stressing newness and explain more fully how the examples support your final view.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “One major advantage,” “However,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the broad direction. However, progression is limited because the body paragraphs list points without consistently linking them to the specific issue of advertising products as new. Some connections are abrupt: “Another benefits is that people gets more job oppertunities” introduces a new point without developing its relationship to the example. The conclusion also repeats the topic rather than drawing the argument together. Use clearer links between each claim, explanation, and example, and make references such as “this kind of advertising” precise.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “advertising,” “promoting,” “consumers,” “reliable,” and “job opportunities,” and the bakery and television examples make your meaning generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors are noticeable, sometimes making the reader pause. For example, “promiting help” and “distributing pemplate” are inaccurate, while “fake items as a real items” is awkward and unclear. Repetition of “business,” “product,” and “disadvantage” also limits flexibility. Build a more precise set of expressions for novelty and marketing, such as “highlight a new feature,” “differentiate a product,” and “misleading claims,” and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a few longer structures, including “This is because…” and “when company grows…,” and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in basic sentence patterns as well as in attempted complex sentences. Examples include “some businesses … they promotes,” “This kind of advertising have,” and “people started believe,” where agreement or verb forms are incorrect. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “a real items” and “people gets.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation need attention too: “My friend used bake…” and “Where, they sell…” are not correctly formed. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses while checking subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb patterns.
