Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays businesses emphasis that their products are new in some way . In fact due to consumer demand and new innovation, I believe this is negative development and remaining paragraphs would explain it.
Firstly there is enormously high competition between business persons and everyone want to advertise as much they can do it , To attract customer and grab their attention.
Second in recent digital modern technology there is advanced features in each latest designed product,Which increase further consumer demand and preferences.
Finally businesses also want to increase sales and boost their profits .
For instance smartphone iphone change their AI feature and improved camera each year .
The misleading advertising increase consumer unnecessary spending and also sometimes face fraudulent activity from misleading information.
Meanwhile there is also environmental impactsdue to increasingly waste products,In addition frequently replacement of product increase finical burden.
for example replacing a perfectly working phone just beacuse of newer model is available and some AI feature .
However there is also positive development like innovation and improvement and making life easier for consumer,At the same time time increase economic growth of countries and create more job and business opportunities .
In summaries I believe it depends on personal circumstances If someones is not able to afford all this new product and compromising other basic needs of life like education, heath and spending money on this irrelevant products they should spend their income on healthy activated and future development,On the other hand If someone financial assets give permission to this luxury products they should buy it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question: you give reasons for highlighting novelty, including competition, consumer demand and profit, and you state that you view the trend negatively while acknowledging benefits such as innovation and jobs. However, the position becomes less definite in the conclusion, where the answer shifts to whether individuals can afford new products rather than clearly restating whether the advertising trend is positive or negative overall. Several points are listed but not fully explained: for example, the link between new features and consumer demand, and how misleading advertising leads to unnecessary spending, would benefit from a specific explanation or example. Develop fewer ideas more fully and make your overall judgement consistent throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with reasons, disadvantages, a counterpoint and a conclusion, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Finally” and “However” help identify shifts. However, progression between these sections is not always clear: the opening lists reasons for novelty, then the discussion moves abruptly to misleading advertising and environmental effects. Some linking phrases are repetitive or do not show the precise relationship between ideas, while the conclusion combines several points in one long sequence. Paragraphing is present, but ideas within paragraphs need clearer ordering and development. Use topic sentences to establish each paragraph’s purpose, connect examples directly to the claim they support, and use referencing and transitions more precisely.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “consumer demand,” “misleading advertising,” “environmental impact” and “economic growth,” so the reader can follow the main subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices, forms and spellings are inaccurate or awkward, such as “business persons,” “grab their attention,” “finical burden” and “healthy activated.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to interpret. Repetition of general terms such as “product,” “new” and “increase” also limits precision. Build a more accurate set of collocations for advertising and consumer behaviour, and check spelling and word forms. For example, describe companies as “businesses” and a cost as a “financial burden.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a conditional structure in the conclusion, but control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in phrases such as “everyone want” and “there is advanced features”; articles and sentence construction are also problematic in “I believe this is negative development.” Several sentences run together or are joined with commas, particularly the final sentence, which makes relationships between clauses hard to follow. Punctuation and spacing around sentence boundaries are inconsistent as well. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time. Check agreement, articles and full stops, and divide long sentences so each main idea is easy to understand.
