Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this business competetive era, advertising is the most effective tool for selling the products with high revenue. It is becoming a common approach to advertise the products by focusing on innovation. From my perspective, it is anegative approach because firms are selling their products with wrong commitment and it has negative impacts on thier business in long term.
In this fast-paced modern era, businesses are in competition to generate more profit than their competitors. In this race they use fake taglines and give wrong commitments through advertisments. For example, a shoe manufacturing brand "STYLO" advertise their products by pointing that they are introducing new designs, whereas when customer visits their outlet. They find nothing new, it leaves negative impacts on their image.
Although, ineffective advertising with these attractions can rise their sales and helps to generate more profit than last years, it can damage business and its reputation. For example, LUX soap advertise their products with a numerous changes such as enhancement of its falour, smell and its qualities to make skin smooth, and than they only change its packaging. Afterwards,it can boost their sale once, but they loose their image in market.
However, it can be beneficial for business when they bring innovation and changes in thier goods and com- up with true advertisment. So, they can earn long term benefits and earn more profit. Goodwill and good reputation is a huge asset of the company so, enterprenuers should not have to compromise this in any situation.
In conclusion, Organizations are using advertisements as a tool to engange more people in their products. Somehow they are making small new changes and try to attract people by giving them wrong information. This is a negative approach that they adopt to misguide thier consumers because they tend to compromise their loyality with their customers. It can cause to destroy their business.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you regard the emphasis on novelty as negative when businesses make misleading claims, while acknowledging that genuine innovation can benefit them. You address both why companies do this—competition and the desire for profit—and whether it is positive or negative. The examples of STYLO and LUX help illustrate the risks of disappointing customers. However, the explanation of why novelty is emphasised remains fairly general, and the examples are hypothetical rather than developed with specific consequences or evidence. The point that genuine innovation can be beneficial is also brief compared with the criticism. Develop each reason more fully and distinguish clearly between truthful promotion of real improvements and misleading claims about minor changes.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, separate body paragraphs, a qualification about genuine innovation, and a conclusion. Ideas generally progress from competition, to misleading advertising, to possible benefits and your final judgement. Examples also give the discussion some support. However, links between ideas are sometimes mechanical or unclear: “Although” begins a paragraph without a clear contrast, and “However” introduces a point that partly repeats the previous qualification. Some references, such as “these attractions,” are not precise, and the conclusion repeats the claim about misleading consumers rather than synthesising the reasons. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the argument it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “innovation,” “competitors,” “reputation,” “goodwill,” and “consumers,” and you attempt more specific expressions such as “long-term benefits.” However, inaccurate spelling and word choice are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: “competetive,” “advertisments,” “falour,” and “loose” are examples. Several combinations are also unnatural, including “wrong commitment,” “generate more profit than last years,” and “engange more people in their products.” These issues limit the precision of your message, even though the main meaning is usually recoverable. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for advertising, customer trust, and business performance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including a conditional idea in “when they bring innovation” and a concession beginning “Although.” Most of the argument remains understandable, but some errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation reduce accuracy. For example, “a shoe manufacturing brand … advertise” needs subject–verb agreement, while “when customer visits their outlet. They find nothing new” incorrectly separates a dependent clause from its main clause. The sentence beginning “Although” is also left without a clear main clause. Review sentence boundaries and check agreement and articles when editing. More consistently accurate complex sentences would make your reasoning easier to follow.
