Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, businesses trying to advertise their product is a cutting edge fashion even the product is not up to date, so in my perspective that is a good move to grow a business and avoid lose. This essay will highlight all points.

On the one hand, businesses are becoming popular due to the advertisement because they mention in the add about the product quality even it is not reliable. However, selling rates get a boost due to this advertising. In addition, individuals also got attraction from adds. For instance, every entrepreneur investing capital on advertising , approaching famous influencer or sometimes a celebrity pay them for add making, businesses get high profit after add because every social use watch their add on different platforms such as Instagram, Facebook. This move is worthy for the businesses and give positive results.

On the second hand, Some small businesses also invest on advertisement on different social media platforms but they are not proved worthy for them because they are not approach celebrities of influencer thereby, people do not show their interests on that product and have not believed on the product quality. So, kind of that small business are not able to afford it and closed hence it proves negative for them. In addition , some business investing only on road banners in this modern era but these only are not helpful for enhancing the sales of a business. This emphasizing only in road banners are not worthy. In my perspective online advertisement not only useful for adults but also helpful for elderly and disable persons.

To recapitulate, although emphasize the products or brand is helpful for overall business growth but if they add celebrities reviews then business can gives you a great turn-over. In contrast, if small entrepreneur do not approach influencer then they may face difficulties in profit and may get lose in profit.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a view that advertising products as new is a positive move for business, and you also mention possible disadvantages for small businesses. However, the response only partly answers the question: it does not clearly explain why businesses emphasise that their products are new, and much of the discussion shifts to advertising methods, celebrity endorsements and online platforms. The position is also inconsistent: you call the practice positive, but conclude that small businesses may suffer losses without clearly weighing this against the benefits. Examples such as influencers and road banners are relevant to advertising generally, but they need to be linked directly to the claim of novelty. Develop a focused explanation of why novelty attracts customers, then state and support a clear overall judgement.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the second hand” and “To recapitulate” show an attempt to organise the discussion. However, progression is not consistently clear: the first body paragraph moves from product quality to sales, influencers and social media, while the second shifts between small businesses, banners and accessibility. Some links are mechanical or unclear, and repeated references to advertising do not always show how one point follows from another. The conclusion introduces celebrity reviews rather than drawing together the main argument. Group related ideas into a clear sequence—reasons for emphasising novelty, then benefits and drawbacks—and use linking phrases that express the actual relationship between points.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “advertisement,” “influencer,” “capital,” “platforms” and “sales,” so the reader can generally identify the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, sometimes making meaning difficult to follow. For example, “cutting edge fashion” does not naturally describe an advertising strategy, “got attraction” is unclear, and “get lose in profit” is not idiomatic. “Add” and “advertisement” are also repeated where more precise terms could help distinguish an advert, a campaign and a claim of novelty. Build a small set of accurate expressions for the task, such as “promote a new feature” and “differentiate a product from competitors,” and check spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “although” and “if.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction frequently make the argument harder to understand. For example, “businesses trying to advertise their product is” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “every entrepreneur investing capital” lacks a finite verb. In “business can gives you,” the verb form is incorrect, and several sentences join ideas without clear grammatical boundaries. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a correctly formed subordinate clause before adding further ideas. Also check singular/plural agreement and verb forms during proofreading.
