Student answer (Band 5.0)
Businesses nowadays using various marketing tactics that their products are unique in some way . I believes that it is a positive development to some extent in the media industry . They are just highlighting why their product is different from others without targeting any competator .
In the modern era the advertisement agencies are charging substantial amount for an advertisement . It provides a source of income for many professionals . In return the customer wants to improve their sales through the ads as people is likely be familair with their product . In many ads director wants to present the product and to direct the ads in different style to make it more attractive for the consumer .Ads have to be display on multiple platforms such as youtube , facebook , whatsapp and live streaming apps which is all paid sites . Nowadays most person have the access to the internet so it is most reliable source for marketing their product as they want to magnified the points which makes it unique.
Conversely, they are mentioning the rival product name just to criticise it and express how their product is better which is immoral in any society . The agencies are using this behaviour in their interest. They have to legal consequences as they are using their product without their concern . However they are generating more amount than legal fess which they have to pay . The audience is highly interesting in those ads and rating is quite high which is sad .
Conclusion to stop those things in our society we all have to work on it . For this kind of disgrace we all need boycott those commercial and take legal action against the agencies for the better society .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address both questions and state a qualified view: “it is a positive development to some extent,” while later objecting to ads that criticise rivals. However, the explanation of why businesses stress novelty is not clearly developed. The discussion of advertising agencies’ income and paid platforms describes how advertising works, but does not fully explain why presenting a product as new attracts customers or benefits a business. Your negative point about naming competitors is relevant, yet it becomes the main concern without being clearly connected to the task’s broader focus on novelty. The conclusion calls for boycotts and legal action rather than summarising a balanced answer. Develop a clear position and support each reason with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, a main discussion, a contrasting paragraph beginning “Conversely,” and a conclusion, so there is an attempt to organise ideas into stages. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow because several points are placed together without clear links: agency fees, customer sales, advertising styles, and online platforms. The contrast paragraph shifts from emphasising novelty to criticising rival products, but the relationship between these ideas is not explained. Some linking phrases, such as “In return” and “However,” do not clearly show the intended connection. Use one paragraph to explain why businesses highlight new features and another to evaluate the effects, with topic sentences and clearer references connecting each example to your main position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “marketing tactics,” “advertisement agencies,” “multiple platforms,” and “legal consequences,” which helps communicate the general subject. There are also attempts at more formal wording, such as “substantial amount” and “immoral.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or forms make meaning less clear, for example “familair,” “magnified the points,” “legal fess,” and “the audience is highly interesting.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “positive development … in the media industry,” which does not clearly describe the effect on consumers or businesses. Build a more precise vocabulary for product innovation and consumer response, and check spelling and collocations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a relative clause in “the points which makes it unique” and a contrast introduced by “Conversely.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in basic sentence construction and agreement occur frequently enough to make parts difficult to read. Examples include “Businesses nowadays using,” “I believes,” “people is likely be,” and “which makes it unique.” Articles and sentence boundaries are also problematic, as in “charging substantial amount” and the run-on transition “.Ads have to be display.” Practise forming complete clauses with accurate subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and articles. Then use punctuation to separate ideas and make longer sentences easier to follow.
