Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, many business owners advertising their products that are new. I personally think it is a positive effect for the business products and i will discuss my opinion in this essay.

Firstly, this is very important for businesss owners because the business mostly runs on popularity how many people buy the product of a company. For example Peek Frens is a company who make biscuits and cakes and their adds is so popular and many people buy it because he see the add on telivision and mobile phones.

Secondly, many business nowadays is not so much popular and if the launch any new products no one can buy it without advertising. Because everyone on that time use social media if the watch it while using their mobile phones the demand it to the nearby shops in his area where he live.

The other positive development is many businesses use stratigies for advertising their products. One business that i know who use stratigie to make the name in the market and the rank is Pepsi it is a soft drink company name. He hired many people he go to the shops in the whole world and the demand Pepsi everyday the shopkeeper listen the name of the brand and many people who were in the shop also listen the name. The go everyday and demand after 1 week the send their sales man and he give them order of Pepsi and after time the Pepsi make a name in the whole world.

The negative impact is advertising create a mess up for users to watch the same advertising many times and some people feel angry to watch the advertising.

In conclusion, the advertising of product for business is good but not in a way to advertise so much. Some think it is not a good product the owner take so much add of their product.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall view that advertising a product as new is positive for businesses, while acknowledging that repeated adverts can annoy viewers. You also offer examples involving a biscuit company and Pepsi. However, the response only partly answers the task: it explains how advertising can increase popularity and sales, but does not clearly explain why businesses specifically emphasise that their products are new. The examples are mostly described as stories rather than developed evidence, and the Pepsi account is difficult to follow. To strengthen the response, explain the appeal of novelty—for example, how it attracts attention or suggests improvement—and develop each reason with a clear link to your position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay has a basic structure, with an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of your response. However, progression between ideas is limited: the discussion moves from popularity to social media and then to Pepsi without clearly showing how each point answers the question about emphasising newness. Some sentences are difficult to follow, particularly the account of Pepsi’s sales strategy, and references such as “he” and “they” are unclear. The conclusion repeats the general view but does not neatly summarise the reasons. Use one main idea per paragraph, connect examples explicitly to that idea, and make pronoun references clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “advertising,” “products,” “demand,” “social media” and “brand,” so the general subject is understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “business,” “name” and “advertising.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, such as “adds,” “stratigies,” “telivision” and “make a name in the whole world.” Some expressions are imprecise or unnatural, including “positive effect for the business products” and “create a mess up for users.” Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing marketing and consumer response, and check spelling and collocations when editing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the use of “because” shows an effort to explain causes. However, sentence structures are limited, and errors occur frequently in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction. For example, “many business owners advertising their products” needs a finite verb, while “many business nowadays is” has a subject–verb agreement problem. In “if the launch any new products,” the verb form is incorrect, and several clauses in the Pepsi example run together without clear punctuation. These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
