Student answer (Band 5.0)
Yes, nowadays big companies like hair shampoo company of sunsilk and many other choose this method of advertisement. In this method, they usually enphasize that their products are different from others and they have the qualities which others don't have . Some companies cross their limits of advertisement in such a way that they try to display other companies products fault and failures . Without the permission of any company you can't display their products fault. In a sense it is positive if the company is being right and is trying to help people from frauds and mishaps. But for this purpose the informationshuld have an evidence as well. On the other hand , advertisement can also be done positively as described in the question . I think that it is of no harm to anyone if you are describing your products new features which are new in the society . As it is for the benefit of community so I think it is a positive development. For example, there is a company named " Fair-lovely" which sells beauty products and it has the same advertisement method as I described earlier . The products are very good and it has many new qualities that I think which other companies have not still introduced in their products. My experience with this company went very good. At the last, I think that advertisement should be done in a way that it should promote only your own products and goods . It should never be done to defame other companies products.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall view that highlighting new product features is positive, and you add a relevant example involving a beauty-products company. However, the response only partly answers the task: it does not clearly explain why businesses generally emphasise novelty, which is a central part of the question. Much of the discussion instead focuses on whether companies may criticise competitors, an issue not directly asked about. The example is also asserted to show that the products are good and innovative, but it is not developed with specific evidence. To strengthen the response, explain motives such as attracting attention, differentiating products, or encouraging purchases, then support your positive or negative judgement with a more focused example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is some organisation: the response moves from describing advertising practices to considering positive and negative aspects, gives an example, and ends with a recommendation. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the discussion shifts between novelty, competitors’ faults, consumer protection, and the writer’s opinion without clear links. Connectors such as “On the other hand” and “For example” are present, but the contrast they signal is not always clear, and several ideas are crowded into one paragraph. The conclusion repeats the point about not defaming competitors rather than neatly summarising the answer to both questions. Use separate paragraphs for the reasons, your evaluation, and the conclusion, with clearer links between each idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “advertisement,” “qualities,” “frauds,” “features,” and “defame,” and the reader can generally understand your meaning. There is some attempt to express distinctions, such as describing products as “different from others.” However, the range is limited and several choices or spellings are inaccurate, including “enphasize,” “products fault,” and “informationshuld.” Some phrases are also imprecise or unnatural, such as “my experience with this company went very good” and “new qualities.” Aim for more precise advertising vocabulary and check spelling and collocations. For instance, you could describe a company as “highlighting product innovations” and say that a product “offers features not yet available from competitors.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if the company is being right” and a relative clause in “qualities which others don’t have.” Meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation occur throughout. For example, “a hair shampoo company” needs a clearer article and noun phrase, while “the informationshuld have an evidence” contains problems with countability and sentence formation. The final sentence, “advertisement should be done in a way that it should promote,” also repeats the subject structure awkwardly. Practise building accurate sentences around one main idea, and check articles, singular/plural forms, and punctuation before adding longer clauses.
