Student answer (Band 5.5)
Advestisment of products with new label or new ingredient attracts alot of customers, especially young generation who wants everything new just of stand out in their friend groups. I firmly beleive that this is a negative development as people like to buy tried and tested products and soon they will realise that this is just a marketing strategy.
As social media trend rises, many influencers promote same product over an over which makes it common among viewers. People start to understand the strategy behind every product apprearance which leaves no curosity behind. To solve that, businesses started to build curosity among people and influencers by introducing "something new" in the product. This strategy creates demand in market as only customers will be the first to review it before any influencer. High ratio young girls pre-ordered the product online before it even touches the store shelves.
Adults think that this is just another strategy to sell products and they can not believe in something new. As they like to purchase tried and tested products, this strategy didn't worked on them. Prople criticizes that, a huge emphasis on something new will not be encouraged as it distracts the youth from their main goals. Businesses got negative reviews about selling the same product with different names and false allocations. The constant advestising frustrates people and destroys company's reputation.
In conclusion, businesses use new strategies to sell its product but contanst reliance on customer attention harms company's progress. It can be predict that development strategies will use the methods to retain customers not chase them for the business survival.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the prompt: you explain that businesses highlight novelty to attract attention and create demand, and you clearly state that you see this as negative. The discussion of social-media promotion and customers wanting to be first to review a product is relevant. However, some points are less fully developed than others. For example, the claim that novelty distracts young people from their goals is introduced without explaining how this happens, and the point about false claims and reputational damage would benefit from a specific example or clearer explanation. The conclusion restates your view, but its prediction about future business strategies is not fully connected to the reasons given. Develop each main point with a clear explanation or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The paragraphs broadly separate the reasons for novelty-based advertising from its negative effects, and phrases such as “To solve that” and “In conclusion” help signal movement between ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. In the second paragraph, the shift from repeated influencer promotion to customers pre-ordering products needs a clearer link. Some connections are also mechanical or unclear, such as “Adults think that this is just another strategy” after the discussion of young consumers. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, then connect each example explicitly to it; clearer referencing would make the argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to advertising and consumer behaviour, including “marketing strategy,” “pre-ordered,” “tried and tested,” and “company’s reputation.” These choices show some range, but the overall vocabulary is limited and several spelling, word-form and collocation errors make parts of the argument harder to understand. Examples include “Advestisment,” “curosity,” “false allocations,” and “constant reliance on customer attention.” Some phrases are also imprecise: “new label or new ingredient” and “something new” are repeated without specifying what kind of product change is meant. Aim to use accurate, natural combinations such as “emphasise a product’s novelty” and “make misleading claims,” and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple sentences and attempts at longer structures, including the opening sentence and the explanation beginning “As social media trend rises.” However, control is uneven, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction sometimes make meaning less clear. For instance, “young generation who wants” has a number-agreement problem, while “this strategy didn’t worked” uses an incorrect verb form. “Businesses use new strategies to sell its product” also has agreement and pronoun-reference issues. Some sentences join ideas in ways that obscure their relationship, as in “People start to understand the strategy … which leaves no curiosity behind.” Practise accurate complex sentences and check subject–verb agreement, past-tense forms and pronoun references during revision.
