Student answer (Band 6.0)
In today's advanced world, the way of marketing the products got totally changed. Businesses start the advertising of their new products in a way that they are introducing few advance features in their products. I do think that it is a positive development because doing advertising in this way help customers to better known about the products.
As the world is changing into global village, the competition in the markets is increasing day by day. In this large competitive environment the businesses use different types of advertising methods which indirectly help the customers to get knowledge about the new products. The details marketing of the new products provide deep understanding to target audience. For Example, the advertising of the sugar free soft drink will provide a detail information abouts its ingredients and its benefits. As a result, the people suffering from diabetes will able to easily consume that cold drink.
Moreover, the new methods of advertising increase the competition among the competitors which force them to enhance the quality of their products. They are bound to better the quality of their products because the have to illustrate some thing good in their product's marketing. For Example, competitions among car brands like BMW, Mercedes and Audi force them to enhance the build quality of their cars and also introduce some advance features in their new models of cars. Due to which, the buyers experience improve quality of the cars in every new models of these brands.
In conclusion, although there may be some negative aspects in advertising of products that they contain some new features nevertheless, i think that new methods of advertising is a positive development.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you consider the emphasis on novelty positive, and you give two relevant reasons—customers learn about products, and competition can encourage better quality. The sugar-free drink and car-brand examples help make these points concrete. This covers both the reasons businesses highlight newness and your evaluation, but the explanation of why businesses themselves do this is less fully developed: competition is mentioned, yet the link between novelty-focused advertising and attracting buyers or gaining an advantage could be made more explicit. The final reference to possible negative aspects is also not explained. Develop that counterpoint briefly, or keep the conclusion focused on the positive case, and extend each main idea with clearer cause-and-effect reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Sequencing expressions such as “Moreover,” “As a result,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the argument, and the examples are placed alongside the points they support. Some links are mechanical or unclear, however. For instance, “Due to which” begins a fragment-like continuation, while “although there may be some negative aspects … nevertheless” introduces a contrast that the essay has not developed. The reference to “new methods” also shifts from the task’s focus on advertising products as new. To strengthen progression, make each paragraph’s central claim explicit and use linking phrases only when the relationship between ideas is clear.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “advertising methods,” “target audience,” “ingredients,” “competition,” and “build quality.” These choices make the subject clear, and terms such as “sugar-free” and “features” suit the examples. There are also attempts at more formal or specific phrasing, but some combinations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “details marketing,” “deep understanding,” and “better the quality.” Word-form and spelling slips, including “advance” where “advanced” is intended and “abouts,” also reduce precision. These errors generally do not prevent understanding, which is a strength at this level. Aim to learn vocabulary in natural collocations—for example, “detailed information” and “improve product quality”—and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause (“because …”) and a result clause (“As a result…”). The main ideas remain understandable, but some errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction persist. For example, “doing advertising in this way help” needs subject–verb agreement, and “the people suffering from diabetes will able” is missing a verb such as “be.” The sentence beginning “Due to which” is not a complete independent sentence, and “the buyers experience improve quality” has an unclear grammatical relationship between its parts. Work on checking each sentence for a clear subject and finite verb, and practise accurate clauses with “because,” “which,” and “as a result.”
