In recent years, many organisations advertising their new products through social meadia and other sources. This topic has become a major subject of discussion. While many people believe that this trend brings clear benefits, others worry about its negative consequences on society. Although online advertising have some drawback, I believe that thier adventages outweigh its disadantages. This essay will discuss both perspectives before reaching a reasoned conclusion.
To begin with, there are several reasons why individuals consider it trend benfiacial. The major reason is that it create greater oppotunities for people to know about the trending procduct or the newly launched item by their favourite brand without going outside. In addition, advertisement helped people to choose a right product before paying for it. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify the topic and give a position, stating that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and you include relevant points about product information, sales, and workplace distraction. However, the response only partially addresses the prompt: it does not clearly explain why businesses emphasise that products are new, and the discussion focuses mainly on advertising in general. The positive points are brief, while the negative side is limited to distraction for online workers; neither is developed with a specific example or fuller explanation. The conclusion is also cut off, so your final judgement is not fully expressed. The response is 13 words below the required minimum. To strengthen the answer, explain businesses’ motives, develop both sides with examples, and complete the conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting benefits, a contrasting paragraph on drawbacks, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the intended direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and some links feel mechanical. For example, “This means” does not clearly connect the preceding claim to the explanation about online workers, while “Therefore, this perspective also cannot be ignored” repeats the contrast without advancing the argument. The conclusion ends mid-thought, weakening the overall sense of completion. Use clearer cause-and-effect links, connect each example directly to its main point, and ensure the final paragraph completes the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “newly launched item,” “bundle deal,” “advertisements,” and “distraction,” so the reader can generally identify your subject and main points. However, the range is limited and several spelling errors or inaccurate word choices make the writing less clear, such as “social meadia,” “thier adventages,” and “disadantages.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, including “consider it trend beneficial” and “the distraction through advertisements.” These issues sometimes slow the reader’s understanding, although the intended meaning is usually recoverable. Build a more accurate set of expressions for product launches and consumer behaviour, and check spelling and collocations carefully. Prefer precise phrases such as “promote a new product” and “attract consumers’ attention.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mixture of simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast clause beginning “Although” and a sentence explaining the effect of advertisements on workers. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors in basic sentence formation and agreement occur throughout. For example, “many organisations advertising their new products” lacks a finite verb, “online advertising have” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, and “it create greater opportunities” also needs agreement. The sentence beginning “The major issue is that the distraction” is not grammatically complete, and the final sentence is unfinished. These errors can make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise complete clause structures, subject–verb agreement, and accurate sentence endings before adding more complex forms.
