Student answer (Band 6.0)
The manufacuting companies while launching campaigns about their products nowadays often claim that their products are different from the old traditional ones. This is primarly because the growing competition among the bussinesses. This is a negative development as it deceives the customers.
After the industrial revolution, the world saw a rapid growth in industries. Today, there are many independent companies in almost every state of world. This surge in bussinesses has compelled the owners to promise about their products that they are new in some way. They do it due to the fact that they want their products to excell their competitors` products.
Moreover, after social media, people see multiple ads of the same thing produced by different companies in less time. The producers often wish that their ads should remain in the minds of people, owing to this reason, they emphasise that their products are new and different from others.
This is a negative development. While advertising about their production, the owners often chose immorality. They over emphasize and make false claims about their products. Sometimes, what they claim is totally contradictory to what the reality is. Considering my personal example, while looking for earpods online, i came across an ad of a brand which claimed 99% of the noise cancellation. However, when the product arrived, the claim was at one eighty degree to the reality. Hence, i believe that this is complete immoal behavior by the agencies.
To sum up, to win the race among producers, they make false claims and emphasise that their products are new and better in some way. What they assure in their advertisement is entirely different from realities. There ought to be legal procedure about those who do it so that the customers get their desired things. While filming ads, the companies should consider ground realities and do not make over exaggerations about their products.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both parts of the question: competition is given as a reason for highlighting novelty, and you clearly judge the trend negatively because it can mislead consumers. The examples about repeated social-media advertising and the noise-cancelling earbuds make the response relevant and help explain your position. The explanation of competition is more developed than the second reason, however: the point about ads staying in people’s minds could be linked more explicitly to why novelty claims are persuasive. The personal example supports your view, but one product experience does not establish that such claims are generally false. To strengthen the response, qualify broad claims and develop the reasons with clearer explanation or evidence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your position, separate paragraphs explain the reasons and your evaluation, and the conclusion restates the main argument. Connectors such as “Moreover,” “Hence,” and “To sum up” help signal relationships between ideas. Some progression is less smooth within paragraphs, though. For example, the move from the industrial revolution to the number of companies and then to novelty claims would benefit from a more explicit link. The conclusion also introduces legal procedures and advice to advertisers without developing these proposals earlier. Use referencing and transitions more precisely, and keep the conclusion focused on synthesising the argument rather than adding new points.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “competition,” “false claims,” “noise cancellation,” and “advertisement,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “owing to this reason” and “contradictory to.” However, spelling errors and awkward or inaccurate word choices are noticeable, including “manufacuting,” “primarly,” “bussinesses,” “excell,” and “immoal.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “promise about their products” and “at one eighty degree to the reality.” These issues limit precision and sometimes make the reader pause. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for describing product claims and consumer expectations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning “While” and “Considering my personal example,” and most of the argument remains understandable. However, errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation recur. For instance, “the owners often chose immorality” uses an inconsistent verb form, while “the ads should remain in the minds of people” has an awkwardly formed clause. The opening also runs two sentences together after “ones,” and “there are many independent companies in almost every state of world” is missing an article. These errors do not usually prevent understanding, but they reduce control. Practise accurate clause formation and proofread for sentence boundaries, articles, and consistent verb forms.
