Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's rapidly changing world, advertisements play a major role in endorsement of a product in the market has become increasingly common, bringing significant changes to the way people buy product these days. From my perspective, this is predominantly a negative development, mainly due to companies can build their trust with the customers at their initial stages of develpoment and this can led them introduce their products into the market.
One of the main reasons why companies usually relay on advertisementing when endorsing new products because already the market is filled with lot of competitors with similar products. This is because usually businesses focus on products which are booming in the market. As a result it is difficult for new companies to introduce the products into the market which are already exists. For example, many car brands despite having similar features they introduce their vehicles with any unique ideas so that they could attract more audience. Therefore, it is evident that companies try to make their products different from already exsisting products.
On the other hand, some big companies hire a celebrity in order to advertise their products on many different social media platforms, which usually audience assuming that ceelebrities use such products in their daily life. Which is one of the reasons new products usually grabs people's attention. Consequently, many new products reaches specific audience and their sales are increased significantly over the period. For instance, recently actor Vijay devarakonda, launched a new product into the market which is based on skincare essentials, eventhough there are many such products launched long before into the market. Hence, it is a strategy of the company to make their products special from other products.
In conclusion, although these is not a permanent solution for the sales. I believe that it depends upon the quality of the product which decides the future of the product. This is primarily because many products usually claim improvments after usage but it turn out to be a waste of money for people and the chemicals which are used in the products are harmful for people as they contain sterioids. However, people are unaware before trying out the product.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall view that emphasising novelty is mainly negative, and you offer relevant points about competition, celebrity promotion, product quality and possible harm to consumers. However, the response only partly answers the question: the reasons businesses highlight newness are not consistently explained, and the discussion sometimes shifts to advertising generally or to product quality. For example, the car-brand example suggests companies differentiate products, but does not show specifically how presenting them as “new” helps. Your position also becomes less direct in the conclusion, which focuses on quality and harmful ingredients rather than clearly weighing the development. Develop each reason with a clearer link to novelty and explain more fully why you consider the trend negative.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the paragraphs broadly group related ideas. You also use linking expressions such as “As a result,” “On the other hand” and “Consequently.” However, progression is not always clear: the first body paragraph moves from market competition to similar products without fully connecting this to advertising newness, while the second shifts from celebrity endorsements to sales and then to product differentiation. Some links are awkward or unclear, including the sentence beginning “Which is one of the reasons,” which is not connected grammatically to the preceding sentence. The conclusion also begins with a fragment. Make each paragraph follow one central point, and use references and transitions that show precisely how each sentence relates to the previous one.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “competitors,” “unique ideas,” “specific audience,” “quality” and “chemicals,” and you convey the general subject of product promotion. However, the range is limited by repeated use of “products,” “market” and “usually,” and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate enough to make parts less clear. Examples include “endorsement of a product,” “relay on advertisementing” and “products which are booming.” Spelling errors such as “develpoment,” “exsisting” and “improvments” also reduce control. Aim for more precise language for the central idea—for example, terms describing novelty, product differentiation and consumer appeal—and check spelling and natural word combinations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences and subordinate clauses, but control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence formation, agreement and verb patterns sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. The opening sentence contains a faulty construction: “advertisements play a major role in endorsement … has become increasingly common.” Other examples include “companies … because already the market is filled,” “many new products reaches,” and the fragment “Which is one of the reasons.” The conclusion also starts with “although these is not a permanent solution,” where the clause is incomplete and agreement is incorrect. Use a wider range of sentence patterns, but first ensure each sentence has a clear subject and main verb. Review subject–verb agreement, articles and clause boundaries, especially in longer sentences.
