Student answer (Band 5.0)
In the contemporary world, Advertising is a key part of modern business. Many businesses made advertaisment for introduced their product to the consumers. I completely agree with this statement. In this essay, I will give reasons from my own knowledge.
First and foremost, Advertising inform the people who many choices they have about the items. They can easily choose product, which is beneficial for them and within good price range. For example, when comapnies made commercial about their new item, which they made recently, they give all information about the product. consumer know all information about it and odered that product easily. On the other side, Advertising is a form of modern art. They workers showed thier creativity through markiting a product.
Furthermore, Advertising about a product is benefical for company growth. They sale more products from the markiting and earn alot of profit. For instance, when company coca-cola uses television advertisment for giving information about their product. As a result, many viewvers become awer about that item and they purchase more. it is helped to increase comapny profit. On the other hand, advertaising market create many employment opportunities. Many persons work in markiting and earn money.
In conclusion, I Firmaly argued that, it is a positive development, but their are some deleterious consequance of markiting. Companies some times use well-known figures for promoting their cheap products. As a result, people believe on them and face some bad effects. The authorities should keep on an eye on businessess and check their products before creating advertisment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear overall view that advertising is a positive development, and you offer relevant reasons, including helping consumers learn about products, supporting company profits, and creating jobs. However, the response only partly answers the specific question. The prompt asks why businesses emphasise that products are new, but your discussion mostly explains the general benefits of advertising rather than why novelty is highlighted—for example, to attract attention or distinguish a product from competitors. Your position is also not fully consistent: you say you “completely agree” at the start, then acknowledge harmful consequences in the conclusion without clearly weighing them against the benefits. Develop the novelty-focused explanation and support each main point with clearer examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Paragraphs generally group related points, and signposts such as “First and foremost,” “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the move from consumer choice to advertising as “modern art” is abrupt, and the Coca-Cola example does not clearly explain how emphasising a product’s newness leads to increased sales. Some linking phrases, including “On the other hand,” introduce ideas that are not genuine contrasts. References such as “they” and “that item” can also be vague. Use more precise links and build each paragraph around one central idea, developed in a logical sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “consumers,” “profit,” “employment opportunities” and “promoting,” and you attempt more formal language such as “deleterious consequences.” However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the response difficult to read, for example “advertaisment,” “markiting,” “viewvers” and “benefical.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “made commercial” and “believe on them.” Aim for accurate spelling and natural collocations before adding more advanced terms. Reusing “product,” “advertising” and “company” also makes the vocabulary repetitive; practise alternatives such as “goods,” “campaign” and “business” where they fit the meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including clauses introduced by “when,” “which” and “as a result.” This shows an effort to vary sentence structure, but errors are frequent and sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. Subject–verb agreement is inconsistent in “Advertising inform” and “They sale”; verb forms are also faulty in “Many businesses made … for introduced their product.” Articles, plurals and sentence boundaries need attention, as in “choose product” and “consumer know all information.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, particularly in “it is helped” after a full stop and “I Firmaly argued that, …”. Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement, tense and punctuation.
