Student answer (Band 6.0)

Nowadays, companies frequently highlight their products are new in their advertisments. I strongly believe that it is a positive development because it promotes technological advancement and provide better choices for their consumers.

The primary reason for supporting this because it encourage the new innovation ideas. Although, it is beneficial in economically, these businesses try to indulge with consumers needs and provide them better versions and compete with other companies to improve their products.

This assists people to better quality and modern advanced features. For instance smartphone companies like apple and samsung both the companies launch their new smartphones with improved their camera quality and better security features. Sometime stimulate competition in these companies which is beneficial for peoples to try something new and enhance product quality.

The second major reason is this provides choices to consumers. constumers can explore different products and features. They can easily choose their product according to their needs which is helpful for their day-to-day life. People easily choose products according to their budget. For example. Companies introduce variety of healthy food products to meet their preferences. some products like milk have different varieties like lactose free, normal milk, skimmed milk, and low fat milk. This make easy for everyone thet can choose whatever they need or match their preferences.

In conclusion, i firmly believe it has far reaching benifits that highlighting the novelty of products in advertisement is a benifical trend, as it encourages foster innovation and provides consumers with a wider range of choices.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider the emphasis on novelty positive, and you give two relevant reasons—encouraging innovation and offering consumers more choice. The smartphone and milk examples help illustrate these points, so the response addresses both parts of the question. However, the explanation of how advertising itself drives innovation is brief, and the claim that it is “beneficial in economically” is not developed. The consumer-choice paragraph is more specific, but the link between advertising novelty and the range of milk products could be explained more directly. To strengthen the response, clarify the mechanism behind each reason and extend the examples with a consequence for consumers or businesses.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs organised around separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your view. Signposting such as “The primary reason” and “The second major reason” makes the progression easy to follow. Some connections are less smooth, however. “Although” introduces a contrast that is not completed, while “This assists people to better quality” does not clearly connect the preceding point to its result. The smartphone example also shifts abruptly from improved features to competition. Use linking phrases that express the precise relationship between ideas, and make pronouns such as “This” refer unmistakably to a specific claim. This would make cohesion less mechanical and improve the flow between explanation and example.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “technological advancement,” “security features,” “consumers,” and “preferences.” These terms help communicate the main ideas, and the examples show an attempt to use more specific language than simple general statements. Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, though: “indulge with consumers needs,” “better versions,” and “far reaching benefits” do not express the intended meanings naturally. Spelling errors such as “advertisments,” “constumers,” and “benifical” also reduce accuracy. Aim to learn common word partnerships and check spelling carefully; more precise phrasing would make your argument sound clearer and more controlled without requiring unusually advanced vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a subordinate clause beginning “Although” and sentences explaining examples. The overall meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity and control. For example, “it encourage” needs subject–verb agreement, and “This make easy for everyone thet can choose” combines clauses without a clear grammatical link. The opening sentence also needs a structure such as “highlight that their products are new.” Punctuation is sometimes inaccurate, as in “For example.” before a sentence that continues the same example. Practise building complete clauses, checking agreement and articles, and joining related ideas with appropriate conjunctions. More consistently accurate sentences would support your varied attempts.
