Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
The response begins to address both questions: it refers to reasons for advertising new products and signals that the development has negative effects. However, neither part is actually explained. The claim that companies act because of a “competitive era” is left unfinished, and no negative effect, supporting example, or clear explanation of the writer’s view is provided. The introduction promises discussion “in the forthcoming fragments,” but the response ends before that discussion appears. The answer is also substantially below the required 250 words, so there is not enough relevant development to fulfil the task. To improve, state a clear position and develop each reason with an explanation and a specific example before concluding.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is an identifiable opening followed by an attempt to begin a body paragraph, and signposting such as “To commence with” and “First and foremost” shows an effort to organise ideas. However, the progression stops after the unfinished phrase “nowadays,” so the reader cannot follow a complete argument or see how the promised discussion will develop. The introduction also announces both reasons and negative effects, but no corresponding sections follow. Build a complete structure with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the reasons and your evaluation, and a conclusion. Use linking expressions to show relationships between fully stated ideas rather than relying mainly on formulaic transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The response attempts some topic-related and formal vocabulary, including “advertisements,” “products,” “competitive,” and “cutting edge.” However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, which limits clarity: “play part and parcel role” is not a natural expression, “lunch new products” appears to mean “launch new products,” and “advertise their items for updating to the public” does not clearly express the intended idea. There are also spelling errors in “enterprenuers” and “competative.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, use “play an important role,” “launch new products,” and “promote product updates to consumers.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts longer structures, including “This essay will outline not only … but also …,” and uses a subordinate clause beginning “in order to.” However, control is uneven even in these short passages. In “advertisements contains,” the plural subject requires a plural verb; “First and foremost is that due to competitive era” is an incomplete sentence; and the opening sentence lacks a clear article and grammatical structure around “role.” The punctuation in “to explain it, nowadays” also leaves the thought unfinished. Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries. A wider range of structures will be useful once these basic patterns are controlled.
