Student answer (Band 5.5)
The population of some countries includes a relatively large number of young adults, compared with the number of older people. Some people old people give more advantages rather than young people because old people have experience and experienced and skilled workers are more productive for the betterment of the country. Other believe that young adults give more advantage to the countries because they know how to use new technology that increase productivity and also young people are strengthen then old people and they can do more work in less time. In my opinion, a large number of young people give more advantage then the older people because the young individuals are able to do more work then older people.
The advantages of young adult outweigh the disadvantages because young individuals can take part in economy of the country. For example, Industries encouraged to give jobs to young people because they are capable to do more work than the old people Let assume, two people work in the same industry one is young and other is old and both are doing same work, young individual did his work in 20 mints but older one can do same work in 30 mints, so industry took young man because he does more work as compare to old person.
Moreover, young people are encourage to do more work to get extra payment but old people do not exceed limit and he wants to do less work because he think his experience gives more benefit so he discouraged to do more work.
In conclusion, the population of different countries includes a relatively large number of young individuals which helps them to boost the economy of the country and these young adults are more productive then older people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall view that a larger young population is beneficial, and you support it with relevant points about productivity, employment and economic growth. The comparison between two workers also provides a concrete example. However, the response only partly develops the task: the disadvantages of having more young adults are not really examined, and the opening briefly discusses the benefits of older people without explaining how these balance against your position. The claim that young people are more productive is repeated rather than explored through distinct reasons or evidence. To strengthen the response, address at least one genuine disadvantage, such as pressure on jobs or public services, and explain why the advantages still outweigh it. The 28 words copied from the prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, supporting paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help show the direction of the argument. However, progression is limited because several points repeat the same claim that young people work more productively, while the opposing view in the introduction is not carried through the essay. Some links between ideas are unclear: the example beginning “Let assume” is joined to the preceding sentence without clear punctuation, and the paragraph about extra payment does not explain how it supports the overall comparison. Organise each body paragraph around a distinct reason, use clear sentence boundaries, and connect examples explicitly to the claim they support.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a basic range of topic vocabulary, including “economy,” “industries,” “productivity” and “experienced and skilled workers,” which makes the general subject clear. However, vocabulary is repetitive, especially “young people,” “old people” and “more work,” and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, such as “young people are strengthen,” “give more advantage” and “exceed limit.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. Aim to use more precise expressions for the comparison, employment and economic effects, and check word forms and natural combinations. For example, describe people as “physically stronger” rather than using “strengthen,” and say that a group “offers greater benefits” rather than “give more advantage.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a conditional example comparing two workers, but control is inconsistent. Errors occur frequently in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence boundaries: “young people are strengthen,” “that increase productivity,” and “Industries encouraged to give jobs” all need grammatical correction. The long worker comparison also runs together, making the relationship between clauses difficult to follow. There are some understandable sentences, such as “In conclusion, the population of different countries includes a relatively large number of young individuals,” but the overall range remains limited and complex attempts are often faulty. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and divide long sentences into shorter, correctly punctuated units.
