Student answer (Band 6.0)
The ratio and proportion of a country's population can be treated as an opportunity or a hardship. The countries, having the increased ratio of productive youth population, can progress vertically up. In my opinion, both the young and older people posses both benefits and harms, but youth can perform exceptionally well for the benefit of a country. There increasing population has more advantages than disadvantages.
First of all, the major advantage of increased young population is the overflow of fresh minds and novel ideas produced through it. This will change the socio-political psychology of a nation. More young people contributing in various fields of life can bring early and productive results. Young people think out of the box while older ones might stick to the learned experience and the old practices. There is nothing bad to have an old practice but in this ever-changing globalised world, new ideas are needed to incorporate in our systems.
Talking about the disadvantages, there lies the managemental issues attached to the increased ratio of youth population. More youth will require more jobs and more opportunities, which a poor or illmanaged government can not handle. But, same can be the case with the older generation. More older people will require more health care facilities. The problem for creating more jobs can be solved by the youth itself because they always try to find a way with more activeness.
There is always youth in modern era who helped to develop a nation. Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk are the major examples of youth revolutionizing the world. Consclusively, there are more advantages of relatively increased ratio of young people. They can themselves outperform any drawbacks in it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both advantages and disadvantages, ultimately taking a clear position that the advantages outweigh the drawbacks. The ideas are relevant, such as the 'fresh minds' of the youth and the 'managemental issues' of employment. However, the development is somewhat limited; for instance, the argument that youth can solve their own unemployment issues is asserted rather than explained in detail. The examples provided (Bill Gates, etc.) are relevant but could be better integrated to support the broader socio-economic argument. Overall, the response covers all parts of the task, but the depth of analysis is more characteristic of a Band 6.0 or 6.5 level.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a progression of ideas from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'First of all', 'Talking about', and 'Consclusively', though some transitions feel slightly mechanical. The referencing is generally clear, although the connection between the 'managemental issues' and the subsequent rebuttal could be smoother. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different aspects of the argument, contributing to a coherent overall structure.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, with some attempts at less common items like 'socio-political psychology' and 'revolutionizing'. However, there are instances of awkward word choices or non-standard collocations, such as 'progress vertically up', 'managemental issues', and 'illmanaged'. These errors do not impede communication, but they highlight a lack of precision. To reach a higher band, the student should focus on more natural collocations and avoid inventing words like 'managemental'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is consistently clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'There increasing population' (instead of 'Their'), 'posses' (spelling), and 'can not handle' (should be 'cannot'). Additionally, there are minor punctuation and article usage issues throughout the text. While the student demonstrates an ability to construct complex sentences, the frequency of errors prevents the writing from reaching the Band 7 level, where error-free sentences should be more frequent.
