Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, in few countries adults are large in number of population then older people. In my opinion, this is beneficial in this modern era for the country when youth are more than older people.
On the one hand, this situation outweigh the disadvantage by having large number of adults than old people, this situation leads to unemployment which effects the economic situation of the country. Elaborating further, adults with huge population can face several problems with jobs and other opportunities like national examinations, so this can be a national issue in terms of development. For instance, this kind of problems are more likely to happen in developing countries as already facing with job market and having more adults can affect more to the nation.
On the other hand, there are some advantages to have a large number of adults at in this modern period the technological innovations play a major role as youth is the major factor. Furthermore, at the present time companies are making sure to hire youth as they can adapt this technological developments in the market. For example, in today's job market all the companies are miking sure to target adults for having their requirement as this benefits their institute.
In conclusion, i think adults are beneficial to a country whereas they can easily adapt this technology. Moreover, leaders of several nation say todays youth is tomorrows future and entire population of a particular country is responsible to make sure to develop their nation with gratitude.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both advantages and disadvantages of a youth-heavy population. However, the development of ideas is limited. The argument regarding unemployment is somewhat repetitive, and the explanation of technological benefits lacks depth. Crucially, the essay falls one word short of the 250-word minimum requirement, which negatively impacts the task achievement score. The position is clear, but the supporting points are not fully extended, leading to a somewhat superficial treatment of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. There is an attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the logical progression within paragraphs is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs could be smoother to improve the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision expected for higher bands. There is frequent repetition of words like 'adults', 'population', and 'country'. Some word choices are imprecise, such as 'miking sure' (likely a typo for 'making') and 'entire population... is responsible to make sure to develop their nation with gratitude'. The range of vocabulary is limited, and there is little evidence of less common lexical items or sophisticated collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'adults are large in number of population then older people' (incorrect comparative structure) and 'this kind of problems are more likely to happen' (subject-verb agreement error). Punctuation is generally functional, but the control over complex sentence forms is inconsistent, leading to errors that affect the overall accuracy of the writing.
