Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's world, the population of young adults is more than the older people, in some countries. From my perspective it has more benefits, comparing to its fouls. Since young adults are more energetic and present mind, somehow they prove to be best thing for any society. But older people are also important.
Young youth is generally more educated and well known for its interest in studying and discovering more technology. Young adults have a spark or curiousity of find and introduce new things to human world. And this spark dulls with the passage of time. Young generation have more opportunities and technology of the modern world and they know how to utilize it. They are comparitively more aware of the pros and cons of the technology. The current generation known as gen Z or gen Alpha are brought up using mobile phones and laptop at very young age. For example. The young adults and youth knows how to use AI very well and how to utilize it in daily tasks rather than older people who are still not aware of the different modules of AI.
Nevertheless older people also have their own values and importance in today's world. They are much more experienced in life than younger ones. Older peoples have gone through the different phases of life. Therefore no one can give better advice than them.
Every age sector have their own significance in the society. Everyone is contributing to the world much or less.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt but fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which negatively impacts the score. While you establish a position that the benefits outweigh the disadvantages, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. You mention that young people are 'energetic' and 'tech-savvy,' but these points are not fully extended with concrete examples or deeper analysis. The conclusion is also very brief and lacks a summary of your main arguments. To improve, ensure you expand on your points with more detailed explanations and reach the required length to fully explore the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes mechanical. For example, the transition 'Nevertheless' is used correctly, but other transitions are missing or repetitive. The progression of ideas is clear, but the lack of depth makes the overall flow feel disjointed. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence supported by cohesive arguments would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for a higher band. You use some informal or inaccurate phrasing, such as 'fouls' (likely meaning 'drawbacks' or 'disadvantages') and 'present mind'. There is also some repetition of basic terms like 'young adults' and 'older people'. To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to demographics and social dynamics, and ensure that your word choices are precise and contextually appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'the population of young adults is more than the older people' (should be 'larger than that of older people') and 'Young generation have' (subject-verb agreement error). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors suggests a need for more careful proofreading and a focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and article usage.
