Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The essay addresses the prompt by discussing both advantages and disadvantages of a young population. The position is clear throughout, and the main ideas are relevant. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about 'senior generation having experience' is mentioned but not fully explored in terms of its broader societal impact. The essay would benefit from more specific examples or deeper analysis to move beyond general statements. While all parts of the task are addressed, the depth of the arguments remains at a basic level, which is characteristic of a Band 6 response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. There is a logical progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'In addition', 'Moreover', and 'On the other hand', though some transitions feel a bit mechanical. Referencing is generally clear, although there are occasional issues with pronoun clarity and sentence flow. The structure is sufficient to guide the reader through the argument without confusion, meeting the requirements for a Band 6.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and non-standard collocations, such as 'collaborate country's economy', 'low knowledge people', and 'youngers' (which is not standard English). While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and the errors in word choice occasionally draw attention. To improve, you should focus on learning more sophisticated collocations and avoiding the repetition of basic terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include missing articles ('proportion of younger generation'), subject-verb agreement issues ('advantages overweight the disadvantages'), and awkward sentence construction ('which is very essential to stabilize the economical status'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. A greater focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and refining sentence structure would significantly improve your score.
