Student answer (Band 6.0)
Population of a country depends on the number of individuals from each category residing there. Currently, the population of a number of country includes a larger number of young adults as compared to the number of older adults. This essay intends to explore the main advantage and disadvantage of this trend in the forthcoming paragraph with relevant examples. Although, i believe its merits definitely supersede its demerits.
If we look at the advantages, they are evident. The first and the foremost reason is that, the younger generation are the newer ones, thus they have abundant ideas about one particular problem and they can solve that problem with full enthusiasm and confidence. Furthermore, they have the ability to learn new things in a better way as compared to the older generation as older adults believes that they have experience in each and every aspect of their life and they do not need to learn new things. However, learning is a lifelong process and thus it should be continued till the end of the ages. Additionally, the younger generation would come up with new and innovative ideas for the development of the nation as a whole whereas, the older ones want to continue with the already existing ideas.
Let us analyze the other aspect to endowed. There is a certain disadvantages like as follow. Firstly, as it is clear that with the increased age of the older people they are abundantly equipped with experience in dealing with the problems of their daily life in an appropriate way. Older people covers a huge part of our country but nowadays that large part of country had been taken the place by the younger people, if all of these younger people try there innovative ideas to develop the country at once, the country would be at a huge loss. Thus, it is required to have elderly people in our country to make it a better place.
In conclusion, in the wake of the above, it can clearly, easily and logically be concluded that although it is a better option of having a larger proportion of younger adults for the advancement of the country, it is also required to have the older people in the country to safeguard the culture and heritage of our country.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of having a population with a large proportion of young adults, taking a clear position that the merits outweigh the demerits. Ideas are presented, such as younger generations bringing abundant ideas and enthusiasm versus the potential loss of traditional knowledge and stability. However, some arguments lack deep development and tend to over-generalize, particularly in the third paragraph where the reasoning becomes slightly convoluted regarding older adults and innovative ideas. Overall, all parts of the task are addressed, earning a solid Band 6.5.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into four distinct paragraphs, following a logical introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion structure. Cohesive devices are used throughout, such as 'The first and the foremost reason', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion'. However, referencing and transitions are at times mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Let us analyze the other aspect to endowed. There is a certain disadvantages like as follow.' Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate ideas, but overall progression and logical flow between sentences could be smoother. This places the response comfortably at Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'supersede', 'innovative', and 'advancement'. However, there are noticeable word choice and collocation errors throughout the text, such as 'the population of a number of country', 'aspect to endowed', and 'abundantly equipped with experience'. Repetition of certain words like 'younger generation' and 'older people' is also evident. While meaning is generally clear, these inaccuracies prevent the lexical score from reaching a higher band, making Band 6.0 appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, including conditional and relative clauses. However, there are frequent grammatical errors and punctuation issues, such as 'Although, i believe its merits' (capitalization and comma usage), 'older adults believes' (subject-verb agreement), and 'that large part of country had been taken the place by the younger people' (passive voice misuse). These errors do not seriously impede communication, but they occur consistently throughout the response, justifying a Band 5.5.
