Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of having a large young adult population. However, the ideas are severely under-developed and lack clear logical expansion, jumping rapidly between economic benefits, crime, and terrorism without adequate supporting details. Furthermore, the response falls significantly short of the word count requirement, containing only 212 words compared to the minimum of 250 words. This under-length impacts the overall development and completeness of the task. Based on these limitations, the response aligns best with the Band 4 descriptors.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The text lacks proper paragraphing, presented mostly as a single block of text or poorly structured fragments, which makes the flow difficult to follow. Cohesive devices are either missing or misused, leading to a choppy and disjointed reading experience. Phrases like 'At present time period' and 'The main adventage there are less who depend' lack clear referencing, and the progression of ideas from economic advantages to criminality is abrupt and lacks logical transitions. The overall arrangement fails to maintain coherence throughout the response, fitting the Band 4 criteria.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is very basic, repetitive, and heavily impacted by numerous spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'adventage' instead of advantage, 'indepently' instead of independently, 'carrier' instead of career, and 'tararism' instead of terrorism. The range of vocabulary is limited and minimally adequate at best. These frequent lexical errors and inappropriate word choices significantly strain the reader and impede comprehension, which corresponds directly to the Band 4 descriptors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

Grammatical control is weak throughout the essay, featuring a very limited range of structures. The response is dominated by run-on sentences, missing punctuation, and frequent basic errors in tense, subject-verb agreement, and clause structure, such as 'the every field become overload' and 'it lead to make the money'. Complex structures are attempted but are almost always faulty, leading to frequent errors that obscure the intended meaning. This level of grammatical accuracy and range meets the descriptors for Band 4.
