Student answer (Band 5.5)

At the present time, the population of some countries includes a relatively large number of the young adults compared witht he number of the older people.

Fiirstly, the major advantage of this is that young adults can do more work in any kind of field rather than to the older people. the over aged people get tired after doing a 3-4 hours work and loss their productivity but youngs do nkt have same kind of habits. the second mojor advantage is that, in the old ages there were less use of the social media and people were not aware from this how to utilize it to do business but now a days modern Ai tools are being utilized to do business and they try to learn more skills to make more money, this money can be helpful to scale the economy of the country.

One of the major disadvantage of that, some of the young adults have lost their purpose and they get distracted easily in today's era. In today, distraction has become easy and focus become tough not all the youngs are focued and goal oriented they are wasting their productive time in the useless activities this is one of the major issue and it is very common.

In conclusions, the large number of population of young adults outweigh the number of the older people because they can utilize more opportunities and more Ai tools to develop new things which offer them financial freedom so they can live the life according to their own rules and regulations. the young adults are asset of any country because they are future of any country.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of having a large proportion of young adults relative to older people, and a clear position is presented. Ideas are put forward, such as higher productivity and economic scaling through technology, alongside the drawback of potential distraction among youth. However, these ideas tend to be somewhat generalized and under-developed, lacking specific, concrete examples or deep elaboration. For instance, the discussion on social media and modern AI tools is introduced but remains brief and lacks depth. As a result, the response fits comfortably within Band 6, where all parts of the task are addressed, but the development of ideas could be more comprehensive and thoroughly supported.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay presents a clear overall arrangement and follows a logical structure, moving from an introduction to body paragraphs discussing advantages and disadvantages, and concluding with a summary. Paragraphing is used to separate main points, such as placing advantages in the second paragraph and disadvantages in the third. However, cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or faulty, such as 'Fiirstly', 'the second mojor advantage is that', and 'In conclusions', which contain spelling errors and slightly awkward phrasing. Furthermore, referencing and logical transitions between sentences can be abrupt. While the essay is coherent overall, these issues in cohesive management and mechanical linking place it at Band 5.5, rounding to Band 6 for general organizational clarity.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing the student to communicate basic ideas about productivity, technology, and economic growth. There are attempts to use less common or topical vocabulary, such as 'productivity', 'social media', 'financial freedom', and 'asset'. However, the vocabulary is marred by numerous noticeable errors in spelling and word choice, such as 'compaert witht he', 'Fiirstly', 'mojor', 'over aged', 'loss' instead of 'lose', 'youngs', and 'focued'. These lexical inaccuracies and repetitive phrasing restrict the range and cause occasional strain for the reader, aligning the response with Band 5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating clauses with subordinating conjunctions and relative structures. However, grammatical control is weak throughout the text, featuring frequent errors in punctuation, capitalization, articles, and verb forms. Examples include 'the population of some countries includes a relatively large number of the young adults compared witht he number of older people', 'doing a 3-4 hours work', 'youngs do nkt have same kind of habits', 'in the old ages there were less use of the social media', and 'distraction has become easy and focus become tough'. Run-on sentences and missing capitalization at the beginning of sentences and proper nouns are pervasive, causing frequent difficulty for the reader and capping the score at Band 5.
