Student answer (Band 5.0)

At the present time population are getting increased with high ration of young-age people in many countries because of the econimic growth young people have more efficency of work as compared to older people

One major advantage of having a large young population is that it can contribute to economic growth. Young adults are generally more physically active and able to work for many years. As a result, they can provide a large workforce for different industries, which may increase productivity and support the development of the economy. In addition, young people are often more willing to learn new skills and adapt to technological changes. For example, countries with a large number of educated young adults may be able to develop their technology and service sectors more rapidly.

However, this can be a another problem because if the goverment will not provide the appropriate and sufficent jobs and work for the young age people so this can indirectly affect the economy of the country. This may lead the cause like the unemployment, poverty etc. Goverment sholud have

to spend more on education, universitys, jobs, healthcare, public transportation and other public services to support the growing popultion

In conclusion having a large number of young age people in country is highly benefit to goverment and help in econimic growth of the country. In andvantage if goverment provide a appropriate service to the people of the country like healthcare , jobs , educations ,other public services ,infrastructure for the young age people so definetly this will benefit the country .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of having a large young-age population, satisfying the core requirements of Task 2. The student presents a clear position that the situation is beneficial provided the government invests in proper services. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive, particularly in the conclusion where points are restated rather than extended. The introduction lacks a clear thesis statement, and some arguments regarding economic growth and unemployment remain generalized. For instance, mentioning that young people have more efficiency of work is a relevant point, but it lacks specific supporting elaboration beyond basic assertions. Consequently, the task response falls into the Band 6 descriptor, as all parts are addressed, but some ideas are underdeveloped and the overall position could be more precisely articulated throughout the body paragraphs.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay displays a generally coherent overall arrangement with basic paragraphing that separates the introduction, advantages, disadvantages, and conclusion. However, cohesion is frequently faulty and mechanical. The opening paragraph is presented as a single run-on sentence without proper punctuation or transitional markers. Cohesive devices within paragraphs are basic or sometimes missing, leading to abrupt transitions, such as the sudden shift from the second body paragraph to the conclusion. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, and punctuation errors heavily disrupt the logical flow of ideas. For example, sentences frequently run together without commas or full stops, which places a heavy burden on the reader. These features align closely with Band 5, as there is some organization and paragraphing, but overall progression is hindered by inadequate and inaccurate cohesive control.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully using terms related to the topic such as workforce, productivity, industries, unemployment, and healthcare. However, there are frequent errors in word choice, spelling, and word formation, such as econimic instead of economic, efficency instead of efficiency, sufficent instead of sufficient, popultion instead of population, and universitys instead of universities. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary items like technological changes and public services, but the lack of accuracy in spelling and collocation restricts the score. While the vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey basic meaning and does not severely impede overall communication, the sheer frequency of lexical slips prevents the response from reaching Band 6.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The grammar in this response is characterized by a heavy reliance on run-on sentences and missing punctuation. The introduction consists of a single unpunctuated block of text, demonstrating very poor control over basic sentence boundaries. There is a mix of simple and complex sentence structures attempted, such as conditional clauses introduced by if, but these are frequently faulty and ungrammatical, for example: if the goverment will not provide... so this can indirectly affect... Additionally, subject-verb agreement and article usage show persistent errors throughout the essay, including Goverment sholud have and in country instead of in a country. Although the writer makes some attempts at complex forms, the density of punctuation errors and grammatical inaccuracies means that simple sentences are often compromised and meaning is occasionally obscured. This performance sits firmly at Band 5.
