Student answer (Band 5.0)

At the present time the population of some countries like Pakistan, india, bangladesh etc asian countires and some other the population of young adults is relatively large as compared to older age people.

Yes the advantages of this situation outweigh the disadvantages. because the country having young adults have more benefits like they have many oppertunities to produce skilled, professional and trained people who are able to support the country by working in different sectors and contibute positively in growth of country in different sectors.

These countries have no shortage of men force, yound adults are availble for there country every sectors. If government want to train people for some purpose or in every field adults are availible for them which is very much important.

There countries government are not need to required people from other countries for any sector to which government will need high payment and other resposnsibilties, they have youngs people easily availble local in own country.

For example when the government of pakistan need young for there army soldier so there are many people apply for this and there saleries are not burden on government due to shortage. similarly for construction there are laboure force required which is availble in pakistan. For agriculture farms youngs people are availble to work there in reasonable wages. If any company, factory required staff of workers or professional skilled persons they area available for them. And as youngs are present so they are getting education and scholls, colleges, universities etc so govenment getting benefits from them and when they are educated so many good for country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear answer that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages and support it with relevant examples, including recruitment for the army, construction, agriculture and companies. However, the response focuses almost entirely on benefits and does not explain any disadvantages, so it addresses the comparison only partially. Several points are asserted rather than developed: for instance, the claim that young people help the country grow would be stronger with a specific explanation or example of how their work benefits society. The response also contains 249 words, one word below the required minimum; the 17 words copied from the task prompt are not counted. Develop both sides of the question and add a concise conclusion to complete the response.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has some organisation: it begins with the situation, states your position, and then gives examples of employment in several sectors. The examples help the reader follow your main point. However, there is no clear overall progression from advantages to disadvantages and a final judgement; instead, several paragraphs repeat the idea that young people are available to work. Linking is also limited and sometimes mechanical, as in “similarly” and the repeated use of “so.” Group related examples into a focused paragraph, use clear transitions to compare benefits with drawbacks, and finish with a conclusion that restates your judgement. This would make the argument easier to follow as a whole.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “skilled,” “professional,” “construction,” “agriculture” and “education,” which makes your general meaning understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “available” and “young people.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as “oppertunities,” “contibute,” “men force” and “saleries,” which can make the reader pause. Some combinations are unnatural, for example “reasonable wages” in this context and “youngs people.” Build a more precise vocabulary for employment and demographics, and check spelling and collocations carefully so your ideas are expressed more naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a conditional structure in “If government want to train people…” and a sentence beginning “For example.” However, the range is limited, and errors are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to process. Examples include “the population … is relatively large as compared to older age people,” “These countries government are not need,” and “when they are educated so many good for country.” Subject–verb agreement, articles, sentence construction and punctuation need more consistent control. Practise writing complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and use shorter, accurately punctuated sentences before attempting longer structures.
