Student answer (Band 5.0)

Populations in major countries like india, china and usa are relatively increasing, however in terms of population india and china comes at a first place together.

However the key difference between both the countries is that the older number of groups in china is at very large quantity and contains more population as compared to india.

Additionally the countries having high number of young population might be considered as a developed or developing countries in my point of view. As more number of youngsters going in the right direction leads towards the good and healthy nation development.

If we can compare both the age groups for example if we compare the youngsters with the oldies, we will find that the youngsters will cope up more the upcoming technologies while the oldies probably refuse to cope up with the same due to the difference in the mindset.

However we compare the mindset of these two age groups we will find that the oldies remains in their own ideas and techs and refuse to accept the new or upcoming ones , This happens because of their traditional mindset while the young adults will surelty catch up upon the new or upcoming technologies.

The major advantage is that if the nation wants development, people have to introduce new technologies and have to accept them however the older people most probably will refuse them due to their traditional mindset , so in my perspective if a nation wants to grow and develop further, The nation will lead youngsters.

Although everything have two different sites Good and Bad, we have talked about the good siteof the large number of youngster population ,

Now i would like to discover some difficult sites The Major Disadvantage of having more number of young adults in a nation is that they might be influenced badly which will lead to destruction of the particular nation.

Having less number of older people will lead them to limited availability of information about their culture and limited availability of traditional methods uses. Older people uses traditional method of cooking, skincare and almost everything , youngsters will lack all of these if they didnt get to intereact with more number of oldies.

In my opinion the nation should have balanced between its population whether its youngsters or oldies.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both sides of the question by discussing possible benefits of a young population, such as adapting to technology and supporting development, and disadvantages, including the loss of cultural knowledge. However, the response only partially answers whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages: the final view that a nation should have a balance does not clearly state which side is stronger. Several claims are broad or insufficiently explained, such as the suggestion that countries with many young people are developed or developing, and the comparison between India and China is not clearly connected to the argument. To strengthen the response, state your position directly in the introduction and conclusion, then develop each main point with a clear explanation or relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: the response moves from the potential benefits of a young population to disadvantages and ends with a concluding opinion. Paragraph breaks also help distinguish these sections. However, the overall progression is not consistently clear, and several ideas repeat, particularly the claim that older people resist new technology. Linking phrases such as “Additionally,” “However,” and “Although” are used, but some do not show the relationship between ideas accurately; for example, “However we compare the mindset” does not introduce a clear contrast. The opening comparison of countries also feels disconnected from the later discussion. Group related points into focused paragraphs, use clear topic sentences, and make each paragraph advance one distinct part of your argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “traditional mindset,” “upcoming technologies,” “development,” and “availability of information.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and several expressions are repeated or imprecise. Phrases such as “oldies,” “good site,” and “difficult sites” are informal or unclear in this essay, while “large quantity” is an awkward way to describe a population. There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, including “surely” written as “surelty” and “intereact.” Aim for more precise academic collocations and avoid repeating the same technology-related wording; for example, describe older people as “less willing to adopt new technologies” rather than repeatedly saying they refuse to cope with them.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional structures such as “if a nation wants development” and clauses beginning with “because.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “india and china comes,” “the oldies remains,” and “everything have two different sites.” Some sentences also run together or use punctuation inconsistently, as in the long sentence beginning “However we compare the mindset.” Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea at a time, checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and using full stops to separate complete thoughts before adding more complex structures.
