Student answer (Band 5.5)
This issue has sparked a debate concerning its merits and drawbacks. While there are several advantages, in the present time, the population of some countries includes a relatively large number of young adults, compared with the number of older people. There are also notable disadvantages if the number of older people is less than youngsters, in furture who will guide us and teach lessonses using their stories.
On the one hand, a key benefit is that the number of young adults is higher, better for the economy because young adults work properly, learn new things easily, and also give proper time to the work as compared to the old people. Additionall advantages are that the young adults face any challenges, they have the ability to face them. lies A bank looking for a person who is available for the security job position, if they hired old men, old men has not the ability to stay stand for long time as compared to the young, because young person who is very energatic then the old one.
However, a significant drawback is that old people have life of experences, they share their stories, work, life lessons and we getting inspire from these stories and lessons. These thing help us to stay motivated and never loss a hope. senior cityseon also teach us how to stay cool if you face any problem in our life, or how to find out the solution. Cities often argu that old member in any family is a blessing, their prayers help us in difficult satutaions .
In my point of view, the although youngster population is a blessing but old people have theri on era and no one can replace this, the benfits outweigh them. Overall, the drawbaks are considerable and should not be overlooked.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both sides of the question and give a clear overall view that a larger young-adult population is beneficial, while acknowledging the value of older people’s experience. The economic contribution of young workers and the guidance older people provide are relevant points. However, the position becomes unclear in the conclusion: “the benefits outweigh them” is difficult to interpret, and the final sentence says the drawbacks are considerable without clarifying which side outweighs the other. Several ideas are asserted rather than explained—for example, the security-job example is narrow and does not establish the broader economic advantage. Develop each main reason with a clearer explanation or relevant example, and state your judgement consistently. The 23 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. “On the one hand” and “However” help signal the shift between the two sides. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the advantages paragraph moves from economic productivity to a security job without clearly connecting the example to the main claim. Some linking is mechanical or inaccurate, such as “Additionall advantages,” while the conclusion’s “although…but” construction makes the relationship between ideas hard to follow. References such as “These thing” are also unclear. To improve, organise each paragraph around one central point, explain how each example supports it, and use linking phrases and references that make the connections explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “economy,” “challenges,” “life lessons,” “motivated,” and “solution.” These choices show that you can express several related ideas. However, the range is limited and many word-choice, collocation, word-form, and spelling errors make parts difficult to understand: “work properly,” “give proper time to the work,” “life of experences,” and “never loss a hope” are not natural or accurate expressions. Misspellings such as “energetic,” “citizen,” and “situations” also reduce clarity. Aim for more precise topic vocabulary and check common word combinations; for instance, describe young adults as contributing to the workforce rather than saying they “work properly.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use some simple sentences and attempt longer structures, including “While there are several advantages…” and “if you face any problem in our life.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “if they hired old men, old men has not the ability” has inconsistent tense and subject–verb agreement, while “the although youngster population is a blessing” is not a workable sentence structure. There are also problems with plurals and punctuation that blur sentence boundaries. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected subordinate clause, then check agreement and tense before adding further complexity.
