Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, the population has significantly grown in some countries which includes a relatively large number of young adults as compared with the number of older people. In my perspective, it is essential for a country to have large number young people because they are seen as the future of the country. Whereas, without the guidance and experience of older people, it is extremely difficult for a country to grow. Further I will elaborate below.
Firstly, abundance of young people is the privilege and for the sake of the country's growth it is important too. Young people nowadays are playing a pivotal role in various categories such as economics, transportation and business, it is vividly important to have young population in the country for various aspects. For instance, across the globe Gen z is protesting for the country's rights and to save democracy of the country. Countries like France, India and Germany are highlighted among all. It is extremely important for the country to have a young population as they bring change.
Secondly, having the number of older people is itself benefit for the society as they bring experience on the table, with their experience and guidance it is easier for a country to become stable and achieve milestones. For example, many politicians across the globe are older, majority of them are above 60 which shows the country is always run by a older person. Despite the fact that they are older, it is still seen as the country is facing a lot of problems.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that change always comes from a young blood, an idea which a young person can bring is more important than having an experience from an older individual. At the end of the day it is important that who contributes more for the country's cause. And in my opinion, it is always a young person. The advantages of having a young adults population outweigh the disadvantages of it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address the question and make your position clear: the conclusion states that the advantages of a young population outweigh the disadvantages. The discussion also recognises a relevant benefit of older people, namely their experience and guidance. However, the comparison is not fully developed. The first body paragraph gives examples of young people protesting, but does not explain clearly how this benefits a country overall; the second notes that older politicians lead countries, then shifts to problems they face without showing how this weighs against the advantages. Develop each point with a clear cause-and-effect explanation and a more direct comparison of the two age groups. The response meets the task’s length requirement; eight words copied from the prompt were excluded from the count.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Secondly” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main stages, and the position is repeated at the end. Some connections between ideas are less clear, however. “Despite the fact that they are older” does not logically connect the age of politicians to the problems countries face, and “Further I will elaborate below” is a mechanical signpost rather than a useful transition. The conclusion also repeats the central claim several times. To improve progression, make each paragraph develop one main point in a logical sequence and use referencing and transitions that show the precise relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “pivotal role,” “guidance,” “democracy,” “stable” and “milestones.” These choices help communicate your ideas, and the meaning is generally clear. There are also some inaccurate or unnatural expressions, such as “abundance of young people is the privilege,” “bring experience on the table,” and “a young blood.” “Economics” is also not the natural term for the area of work intended in “economics, transportation and business.” Aim for more precise collocations and avoid repeating broad terms such as “important” and “country.” For example, describe young people as a “valuable resource” and say that older people “offer valuable experience.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “as” and “which,” and most of your meaning remains understandable. Some grammatical errors persist, particularly with articles, agreement and sentence construction. Examples include “have large number young people” (which needs an article and “of”), “a older person” (the article should agree with the following vowel sound), and “the advantages of having a young adults population” (the noun phrase needs a consistent singular or plural form). The sentence beginning “Young people nowadays are playing…” also joins two independent ideas with a comma. Review article use, subject–verb agreement and punctuation, then check each sentence for a complete, correctly connected structure.
