Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have successfully identified the main features and provided a clear overview of the data. You covered the three years (2003, 2006, and 2013) and made relevant comparisons between the categories. However, the report is slightly unbalanced; the description for 2013 is significantly shorter and less detailed than the previous years, missing the opportunity to compare the 2013 data more thoroughly with the earlier periods. To reach a higher band, ensure that all data points are described with consistent depth and that comparisons are explicitly stated rather than just listing figures.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5
The response is logically organized with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs for each year. You use cohesive devices such as 'Additionally', 'Meanwhile', 'However', and 'Lastly' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the referencing could be smoother. For instance, the final paragraph is quite brief and lacks a strong concluding synthesis of the trends. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the progression of ideas is generally clear, though the connection between the 2006 and 2013 data could be more fluid.
Lexical Resource — Band 7.0
You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey the information accurately, using terms like 'proportion', 'frequency', and 'recorded'. There are some minor inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'peaked restaurant visit' (which should be 'peaked at') and 'least recorded figures' (which is slightly awkward). While you use some less common items, the vocabulary is generally functional rather than sophisticated. To improve, focus on more precise collocations and varied ways to describe trends and statistical changes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'never eaten' (should be 'had never eaten' or 'never ate'), 'went everyday' (should be 'went every day'), and 'the frequency... was the highest for once a week' (which is slightly ungrammatical). While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. You should focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles and prepositions to ensure greater accuracy in your complex sentences.
