Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the task by summarizing the main features of the chart. However, the data presentation is inconsistent and contains inaccuracies. For instance, you mention 2002, which is not present in the chart, and the description of the 'never' category is unclear. While you attempt to select key features, the lack of precision in reporting the data points (e.g., '4 proporation') hinders the clarity of the summary. To improve, ensure you accurately transcribe the figures from the chart and focus on clear comparisons between the years provided rather than listing isolated data points.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally misused, such as the awkward transition 'While, several time a week kept...'. The logical progression between sentences is sometimes interrupted by grammatical errors, making the flow feel disjointed. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'in contrast', 'meanwhile', 'subsequently') more naturally to connect your ideas and improve the overall flow of the report.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard phrasing, such as 'hubs' and 'food points' to describe restaurants, and 'catogory' (spelling). The range of vocabulary is limited, relying on repetitive structures to describe the data. To improve, try to incorporate more precise terminology related to data analysis, such as 'fluctuated', 'remained stable', 'a significant proportion', or 'a marginal decrease'. Expanding your range of descriptive verbs and nouns will help you convey information more professionally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('are remain constant'), incorrect word forms ('proporation', 'contants'), and awkward sentence construction. While there is an attempt to use complex sentences, these are often marred by errors, such as 'Although, everyday and never ate... are almost remained contants'. To improve, focus on basic sentence structure and ensure that verbs are correctly conjugated. Proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect tense usage will significantly enhance the accuracy of your writing.
