Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response provides an overview and selects some main features, but the reporting is inconsistent and lacks clarity. While you identify the most and least common categories, the data points selected are often confusing or inaccurate. For instance, you mention '33% people eating fast food once a weak in 2006' and '34% once or twice in month in 2013', but the connection to the chart is unclear, and the analysis of trends is fragmented. You fail to provide a comprehensive comparison of the years 2003, 2006, and 2013 as requested. To improve, ensure you clearly label the data points and describe the trends more logically rather than listing isolated figures.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the logical progression of ideas is weak. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes misused, such as 'The figure far former was 17 in 2003 and the later was 16 in 2013'. This phrasing is confusing and does not effectively link the information. Additionally, the transition between the overview and the body paragraphs is abrupt. To achieve a higher band, focus on using a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'in contrast', 'furthermore', 'consequently') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, unified focus.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'eating fast food' and 'major difference'. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'parpotion' (proportion), 'weak' (week), and 'diffrence' (difference). The use of 'the later' and 'the former' is grammatically incorrect in this context, as these terms are used to refer back to previously mentioned items, not to introduce new data. To improve, try to incorporate more varied vocabulary related to data description, such as 'fluctuated', 'remained stable', or 'accounted for'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's understanding. There are issues with article usage (e.g., 'in usa'), verb tense consistency, and sentence structure. For example, 'A never eating fast food in 2006 and 2013 was remain same' is syntactically incorrect. You rely almost exclusively on simple sentence structures, which limits your ability to express complex relationships between the data points. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and sentence construction before attempting more complex structures.
