Student answer (Band 4.0)

According the given chart it shows that how the frequently people in the USA ate in fast food rasturants between 2003 and 2013.

Overall, it would may lead the freqquency of fast food eaten by peoples living in USA. Also, if you want to stop that frquency then would have to work on it.

If I would illustrate the chart, then you see that in 2003 every person live USA ate fast food from rasturant once a weak with 30%.While they ate less in other weeks they also do not eat food every day.

If i compared it then, I simply say that it would be decreased in 2013 because people eat just one or twise in a month then a weak in 2003.

By contrast, people usually eat much fast food from rasturant in 2003 at 31% and in 2006 it would rose up by 33% but in 2013 it should be decreased at 27%.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response attempts to address the task but fails to provide a clear or accurate summary of the data. The overview is confusing and does not highlight the main trends or significant changes in the chart. Furthermore, the description of the data is inaccurate; for example, the claim that people ate fast food 'once a week with 30%' in 2003 is not clearly supported by the visual data, and the interpretation of the trends is inconsistent. The response lacks a professional tone and fails to report the main features effectively, resulting in a fragmented and unclear summary of the provided information.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The response lacks a logical structure. The introduction is poorly phrased, and the subsequent paragraphs do not follow a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are either absent or misused, such as the awkward transition 'If I would illustrate the chart'. The paragraphing is ineffective, as the ideas are grouped in a way that makes the information difficult to follow. The lack of clear referencing and the repetitive nature of the sentences hinder the overall flow, making it challenging for the reader to identify the relationship between the different data points presented.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is very limited and contains frequent errors in spelling and word choice, such as 'rasturants', 'freqquency', 'peoples', and 'twise'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to describe the data accurately, relying on basic and often incorrect terminology. There is no attempt to use less common lexical items or precise academic language appropriate for a data description task. The persistent spelling errors and the misuse of basic terms significantly impede the clarity of the writing, making it difficult to understand the intended meaning of the report.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are significant issues with subject-verb agreement, tense usage (e.g., 'it would may lead'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are poorly constructed, such as 'According the given chart it shows that how the frequently people...', which is ungrammatical. The use of complex structures is attempted but consistently results in errors, such as the misuse of conditional forms. Punctuation is also inconsistent, and the overall control of grammar is weak, preventing the clear expression of the data trends.
