Student answer (Band 4.0)
well this chart shows the very clear picture of consumption of fast food. They have given the three years [redacted phone] there people had been using fast food 20percent in2003 within years it reaches to 35percent.The observations show's there is a big shift and number has increased 15percent.The consumption has increased dramatically and it's very clear on the chart .But in 2003 people frequently visited the fast food chains. But in 2006 they started to visit only own weekends.I think because of the risks and sides effects had makes this difference.if it was less than 35percent in2006it same in2016 but here people prefer to visit once in a month. This graph shows that a problem had been identified and the consultation ratio has asuden shift.
such reports can be very helpful moreover with it's help of such graph we can find the best solution of any emerging issues.I find it very helpful.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to accurately report the main features and trends shown in the bar chart. The student misinterprets the data significantly, claiming that consumption reached 35 percent from 20 percent and mentioning years like 2016 which do not appear in the chart (2003, 2006, 2013). Furthermore, the student introduces personal opinions and speculations, such as 'I think because of the risks and sides effects had makes this difference' and discusses finding 'the best solution of any emerging issues', which goes against the requirement of an objective Academic Task 1 summary. Consequently, the task is only minimally and inaccurately addressed.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The organisation of the text is problematic. The response lacks proper paragraphing, presented instead as a single block of text followed by a brief concluding comment. Logical progression is weak; sentences jump abruptly between misunderstood data points, personal commentary, and extraneous remarks about the graph's utility. Cohesive devices are minimal or misused (e.g., 'But in 2003...', 'But in 2006...'), and referencing is unclear. Overall arrangement fails to create a coherent framework for a data report.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive, frequently revolving around words like 'consumption', 'fast food', and 'increase'. There are noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'sides effects', 'consultation ratio', and 'suden shift'. Furthermore, the student relies heavily on simple, common terminology and fails to demonstrate the lexical range required to effectively describe charts, trends, or statistical data.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The grammatical range is extremely limited. The response consists mostly of simple sentences, and attempts at complex or compound structures are consistently faulty (e.g., 'there people had been using fast food', 'sides effects had makes this difference', 'if it was less than 35percent in2006it same in2016'). Punctuation and spacing errors are frequent throughout the text (e.g., '20percent in2003', 'observation show's'). These persistent grammatical and mechanical errors frequently impede communication and obscure the intended meaning.
