Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the main pattern that weekly and monthly visits were the most common, and you correctly report several key figures, including the weekly peak of 33% in 2006 and the monthly peak of about 33% in 2013. However, the overview is unclear and does not summarise how the leading frequency changed over time. Some details are inaccurate or confusing: “more then 15% in 2003 and 2006” for several-times-a-week visits conflicts with the chart, where 2006 is 20%, and “once in a year” does not match the category “a few times a year.” The response also omits the never category and gives limited coverage of daily eating. Select the main comparisons accurately and state the overall shifts more clearly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic structure, with an opening, an overview, and two paragraphs that group the more and less frequent categories. Linking expressions such as “Overall,” “Firstly,” and “On otherhand” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, progression is not consistently clear: the overview repeats categories without explaining their changing pattern, and the final paragraph moves between several-times-a-week, yearly, and daily visits without a clear comparison. Some connectors are awkward or do not accurately signal the relationship between ideas. Organise the body by frequency groups or by changes across years, and use linking phrases to make those comparisons explicit rather than simply introducing another point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “frequency,” “once a week,” and “daily,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate, sometimes making the meaning unclear. For example, “high trends under then” is difficult to interpret, “compersion” appears to be an attempt at “comparison,” and “once in a year” mislabels the chart category. Spelling errors such as “amoung,” “similer,” and “aand” also reduce clarity. Aim for precise chart language, such as “proportion,” “accounted for,” and “approximately,” and check spelling and collocations before finishing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts both simple and longer sentence forms, including a sentence beginning “if we discuss about…” and comparisons across several years. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation frequently make the writing difficult to follow. For example, “The bar graph display” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “Overall, in 10 years compersion mostly residence…” does not form a clear grammatical sentence. The sentence beginning “similarly people in went…” is also structurally faulty. Practise building accurate comparison sentences with a clear subject and verb, for example, “The proportion eating weekly fell from 33% in 2006 to 28% in 2013.” Use full stops and capital letters consistently.
