Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the main categories and attempt an overview, noting that weekly and monthly visits were common while daily visits and never eating fast food were uncommon. However, the overview is not consistently accurate: once a week was highest in 2003 and 2006, whereas once or twice a month became highest in 2013. The claim that once a week had a “high rise” over the years is also incorrect, as its share fell from 31% to 28%. Several figures are confused or too broadly reported, including saying several-times-a-week visits were 20% without specifying that this was only in 2006. To strengthen the response, report the main changes accurately and compare the three years rather than making general claims such as “others are steadily maintained.”

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable opening, overview, body paragraphs and concluding sentence, so the reader can see an attempt to organise the report. However, progression is limited: “Firstly describe about three proportion” does not clearly introduce a meaningful comparison, and the later paragraphs repeat the idea that weekly and monthly visits were high without developing it. Linking phrases such as “Firstly,” “then,” and “at last” are used mechanically or do not show the relationship between the data clearly. The conclusion largely repeats the overview instead of synthesising the trends. Organise the body by contrasting the categories that rose or fell, and use clear references to years and categories so each comparison follows logically.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “proportion,” “frequency,” “percentage,” and “peak,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning unclear, such as “proportion of eating fast food resturants,” “high rase,” and “devorted the highest peak.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “resturants,” “averange,” and “steadly.” Repeated use of “high” and “highest” limits precision, while “average range” is not an accurate description of the middle-frequency categories. Build a more reliable set of chart-reporting expressions, such as “the proportion who ate out,” “accounted for,” “rose,” “fell,” and “remained relatively stable.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts both simple statements and longer sentences, but grammatical control is inconsistent and errors often make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. For example, “once a week people are prefer” has an incorrect verb construction, while “Every day at 4% and several times a week at 20%” is a sentence fragment. Agreement and sentence structure are also problematic in “eating at fast food restaurants among the people are once or twice a month,” and the opening lacks a natural grammatical structure. Most sentences rely on basic patterns, and attempts to combine several comparisons are often faulty. Practise complete subject–verb sentences and accurate past-tense reporting, for example, “The proportion eating once a week fell from 31% in 2003 to 28% in 2013.”
