Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify the chart’s subject and include several relevant figures, such as the 2003 proportions for weekly and monthly visits and the low daily figures. However, the report only partially covers the data and contains a significant misreading: you say that in 2013 weekly eating was the most common, whereas once or twice a month was highest at about 33%, compared with 28% once a week. The overview also gives an inaccurate impression by saying 2003 and 2006 were similar for weekly visits without clearly comparing all three years. Develop a clear overview of the main shifts, then select accurate comparisons across the years; for example, monthly visits fell in 2006 before rising in 2013.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an opening, a broad summary, and paragraphs containing figures, so there is some organisation. However, the progression is difficult to follow: the overview repeats details later, and the final paragraph returns to 2013 without giving a complete or consistent account. Connectors such as “firstly” do not establish a clear sequence, while the opening lists all six categories rather than guiding the reader through the main comparisons. Some sentences also contain unclear references, such as “similar with 2006.” Group the information by meaningful trends—for instance, frequent visits, monthly visits, and the less common categories—and use clear links between those comparisons.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “percentage,” “ratio,” and “once or twice a month,” and the reader can generally identify the topic. However, the range is limited and several informal or inaccurate expressions make the report less clear, such as “junk ffod,” “ingulfing junk food,” and “outside dinning.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, including “Comparision,” “yeas,” and “every dau.” Repeating “junk food” and “people” also limits precision. Prefer neutral chart language and accurate collocations, such as “the proportion of people who ate at fast-food restaurants” and “the figure for monthly visits.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer constructions, but the range is limited and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to interpret. For example, “Over all in micro view for 2003 around 32 percentage people used to visit…” lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “Comparision between data from 2003, 2006, 2013 are illustrated” has problems with sentence construction and agreement. Articles, prepositions, and punctuation are also inconsistently controlled, as in “residents in USA” and the spaces before commas and full stops. Use straightforward, complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and article use. For chart descriptions, consistent past-tense forms such as “accounted for” or “ate” will help.
