Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is an undeniable fact, that few people from multiple nations believe that it is essential to spend an lumsum amount on building , developing new railway lines for faster transportation system among different cities on the other hand, few individuals think that advancement should be done in existing public transport both views are going to be discussed in the following paragraphs. In my opinion yes it is vital need to construct new railway lines so that the expansion of railways can be done.

To begin with advancements, yes in last few decades the technology is been evolving day by day many individuals are aware and using artificial intelligence in every fields so people also expect from the government to implement advanced technology in public transports. Plenty of them want fast and developed trains with cosy and comfortable, spacious interiors and also expecets it to be implemented in other modes of transportation systems.

whereas, other masses believe that already exisiting transportation systems should be developed and changes should be made in the modes of travel system so that the people can travel with ease irrespective of mode of travel.

Let's take an example of my country India , in India recently new railway line has been launched and the honoble prime minister of india named it as "vande bharat express" this train has multiple routes all over the india and currently the most fastest and comfortable train in india.

To conculde it is necessary to spend large amount of money in developing new railway lines which will help the population.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You state a clear preference for constructing new railway lines, and the Vande Bharat example gives the response a relevant connection to India. However, the task asks you to discuss both views, and the case for improving existing public transport receives only a brief, general statement: you say it should be changed so people can travel with ease, but do not explain what improvements are needed or why they matter. The argument for new lines is also not fully developed; the example describes a train but does not show how new intercity lines benefit the public or justify their cost. Develop each side with specific reasons and evidence, then explain why your preferred investment should take priority.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and phrases such as “To begin with” and “To conclude” signal stages in the discussion. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow because the first body paragraph shifts from new railways to artificial intelligence and expectations for transport without clearly linking these points. The paragraph beginning “whereas” introduces the opposing view but gives little development, while the India example appears separately rather than being integrated into the argument for new lines. Some transitions are awkward or inaccurate, and the long opening sentence combines several ideas. Use one focused paragraph for each view, connect examples directly to claims, and make the conclusion reflect the reasoning already presented.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “railway lines,” “public transport,” “spacious interiors” and “transportation systems,” so the subject is generally clear. However, the range is uneven and several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “lumsum amount,” “cosy and comfortable,” and “most fastest.” Repetition of broad terms such as “developed,” “changes” and “transportation systems” also limits precision. Spelling errors, including “exisiting,” “expecets” and “conculde,” are noticeable and reduce the overall control of vocabulary. Aim for precise transport-related expressions and check spelling; for example, distinguish investment in high-speed rail infrastructure from upgrades to existing services.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and use a range of basic structures, but complex sentences are often difficult to control. The opening is a run-on sentence with unclear punctuation, and “few people from multiple nations believe” is not clearly connected to the following clause. There are frequent errors in verb forms and agreement, as in “the technology is been evolving,” and in sentence construction, as in “it is vital need to construct.” Articles and capitalization are also inconsistent, for example in “the honoble prime minister of india.” These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas hard to follow. Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then combine them with accurate conjunctions and punctuation.
