Student answer (Band 5.0)

In modern days the transportation system has been made a lot progression, but in some countries some of the individuals believe that government should spend a handsome amount of rupees on building more railways for quick connection between different areas, while others think that instead of spending money on railway infrastructure we should focus on previous transport conditions. The way i think about it is that enhancing the old fashioned system would be satisfied.

First of all i would like to say that nowadays everyone for their small work need transport, it has become a crucial part in humans life. For going outside like a mile away from home public would prefer to use it without any hesitation, because no one could seen you as a prominent person or as a special person in these days, when you are utilizing vehicles. So by strengthing the appearance of vehicles would positively affect others for usage of it. Secondly, by developing the situation the number of accidents would decrase, such as if there is a breakage of routes while crossing railways they perhaps get stuck into it and possibly increase the option s of accidents.

Furthermore i would say that although increasing the number of railways would simply decrease the crowdness and also may save the time of public in a meaningful way, by boosting old materials would affect differently. If we don't put this under consideration there is abundant chances that people would not use transport especially public transport in the future, due to not having cinfidence in using railways.

To conclude i would just say that first of all optimising the circumstances would be helpful despite of making more railway lines and spending money on it, even though it reduces huge people gathering around the transports.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You state a position in favour of improving existing transport, especially in the opening and conclusion, and you briefly acknowledge that new railways could reduce crowding and save time. However, the discussion of the two views is unbalanced: most of the response focuses on upgrading existing transport, while the case for high-speed rail receives only a short, general mention. Several supporting points are unclear or insufficiently explained, such as the claim that better vehicles would affect people’s willingness to use them and the reference to accidents at railway crossings. To strengthen the response, explain the benefits and drawbacks of each option with specific reasoning or examples, then make your preference explicit and support it consistently.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “First of all,” “Furthermore” and “To conclude” help show the intended sequence. However, the progression between ideas is not always clear. For example, the point about people not being seen as prominent when using public transport is difficult to connect to the argument, and the second body paragraph shifts from the benefits of new railways to the risks of not improving existing services without a clear comparison. Some linking phrases are also used mechanically. Organise each body paragraph around one main view, develop its reasons in order, and use clearer references to connect each example to your argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “transportation system,” “railway infrastructure,” “accidents” and “public transport,” and you use some less common expressions such as “crucial part.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “made a lot progression,” “previous transport conditions,” “strengthing the appearance of vehicles” and “crowdness.” Spelling errors such as “decrase” and “cinfidence” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural phrases for transport policy, and check spelling and word forms. Replacing vague expressions with terms such as “upgrade existing services” or “expand high-speed rail networks” would make your comparisons clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a contrast introduced with “although” and a conditional sentence beginning “If we don't put this under consideration.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences hard to understand. For example, “everyone for their small work need transport” has problems with word order and subject–verb agreement, while “The way i think about it is that enhancing the old fashioned system would be satisfied” does not form a clear grammatical statement. There are also inconsistent capitalisation and missing or incorrect articles and plurals. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement, articles and punctuation.
