Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 3.0

The response fails to address the prompt entirely. The essay discusses children's choices regarding food and clothing, whereas the task asks for a discussion on railway infrastructure versus public transport investment. Because the essay is completely off-topic and fails to address the prompt, it cannot be scored higher than a 3.0. Furthermore, the response is significantly under the 250-word minimum, which further limits the development of any relevant ideas. To improve, you must carefully read the prompt to ensure your content is relevant to the specific topic provided.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay lacks logical progression. While there is an attempt at paragraphing, the ideas within the paragraphs are disjointed and often incoherent. Cohesive devices are either missing or misused, such as the abrupt transitions between sentences like 'The food matter health care very very important'. The lack of a clear central theme makes it difficult for the reader to follow the argument. To improve, focus on using transition words like 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in contrast' to link your ideas logically and ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is extremely limited and repetitive. Many words are used incorrectly, such as 'matter' in 'family and clothes very matter children personality', which obscures the intended meaning. There is no evidence of the ability to use less common lexical items or precise collocations. The frequent repetition of basic words like 'children', 'food', and 'clothes' indicates a very restricted range. To improve, you should practice learning word families and collocations in context, and focus on using more precise terminology related to the topic of public infrastructure.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The grammar is highly inaccurate throughout the text. There are frequent errors in sentence structure, subject-verb agreement, and word order, such as 'The children are choose fast food' and 'children favourite clothe famous and choise home eat are not allow'. These errors are systematic and frequently impede communication, making the text difficult to understand. There is no evidence of complex sentence structures. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically the use of auxiliary verbs, correct verb forms, and basic punctuation before attempting more complex structures.
