There is no iota of doubt some individuals in count of nations assert that it is necessary to spend large sums of money on constructing new railway lines for very fast trains between cities. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt but fails to discuss both views adequately. While you mention both perspectives in the introduction, the body paragraphs focus almost exclusively on the benefits of public transport, neglecting the argument for high-speed rail. Furthermore, your own opinion is not clearly stated or developed; you mention you will provide it, but the conclusion fails to take a firm stance or justify why one option might be superior. To improve, ensure each viewpoint is given a dedicated paragraph with supporting evidence, and clearly state your position in the introduction and conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'Another with mentioning point is' and 'Make it more clear'. Some sentences are disjointed, making it difficult to follow the flow of your argument. To improve, use a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that relates back to the prompt.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'good public transport' and 'better facilities'. There are also several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'tourt attraction' (tourist attractions) and 'nature resources' (natural resources). The range is insufficient to express complex ideas precisely. To reach a higher band, focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to urban planning and transportation, and work on using more precise academic vocabulary instead of general, informal terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('good public transport help'), article usage, and sentence structure ('they easily use public transport as reach their destination'). Many sentences are fragmented or lack proper punctuation, which hinders readability. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subjects and verbs agree, and proofreading for common errors like missing prepositions or incorrect verb forms.
