Student answer (Band 5.5)

In many countries, few people believe that it is benefited to spend lot of money on new railway lines project for fast service, others some argue that government need to improve pre launched transportations. I partially agree with this statement because spending on new railways system improve infrastructure or save peoples travelling time. However, spent on exist transport for public safety and ensure preferences.

To commence with, authorities also want to developed infrastructure or services because it is more cost effective for long journeys. To explain, society needs cheaper option with good service so these option attract more travelers for the relax and comfartable journey. To illustrate the example, in high growth cities people needs more option for traveling for the reason of trafic congestion. As a result, new ways of transportation helps to meet individuals satisfaction, comfort and solves the environment issues.

To explain, every individuals needs convenient way of transport because some peoples traveling time is less so they will choose buses or rickshaws so they also want to develop those things. For instance, many peoples have problem related to breath intake in over crowd places like trains so they need to tackle this problems to spend on previous transport. Due to this, spending on previous ways of travel they forsure people use all services on daily basis with freely mind.

In conclusion, exploring new railway lines for future purpose gives more advancement, reliability and comfort. Although, in big cities numerous number of people want to use government transport for fulfillng demand of society government need to balance on their services.I believe that government spends on every side of aspect for society

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a personal opinion, meeting the basic requirements of the prompt. However, the development of ideas is often hampered by unclear expression. For example, the argument regarding 'public safety' and 'breath intake' in the second body paragraph is somewhat confusing and lacks a clear logical link to the topic of existing transport. While the position is stated, the supporting arguments are not fully extended or consistently clear, which limits the depth of the response. To improve, ensure that each point is clearly explained with relevant, logical examples.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'To commence with' and 'To explain' are used, but the transitions between sentences are frequently abrupt or confusing, such as in the transition from the introduction to the first body paragraph. Additionally, referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult to track the flow of ideas. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words would significantly enhance the logical progression of the essay.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is limited and often repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'it is benefited to spend', 'pre launched transportations', and 'freely mind'. These errors occasionally impede communication, requiring the reader to re-read to understand the intended meaning. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'infrastructure' and 'traffic congestion', the overall control is inconsistent. To reach a higher band, focus on learning common collocations and using more precise terminology rather than relying on basic or incorrectly adapted phrases.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('government need'), tense usage ('spending on new railways system improve'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or lack proper grammatical control, such as 'However, spent on exist transport for public safety and ensure preferences.' While there is an attempt to use complex structures, these are often faulty and lead to confusion. The majority of sentences contain errors, which frequently distract from the message. A focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement is essential.
