IELTS Writing Task 2 question
In a number of countries, some people think it is necessary to spend large sums of money on constructing new railway lines for very fast trains between cities. Others believe the money should be spent on improving existing public transport.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 4.5)
Society is divided into altruistic and egocentric mind sets of people , although some masses hold the viewpoint that the in a number of countries , some masses think it is neccesary to spend large some money on constructing new railway lines for very fast trains between cities because of time saving . I believe that the latter sTATEMENT HOLDS MORE IMPORTANCE.
On the one hand the main reason why some masses hold the this viewpoint favour the former statement is because of time management and saving . this is due to the fact that helps to others for time consume on other works which time is waste on the waiting and not good public transports of nowadays . for instance a survey conducted by a employment department has provided concrete evidance by highlighting that 40% of masses ecnomic boost.
On the other hand , I believe that the latter point of view supporters give the major reason
To conclude even though people support that the former statement . I believe that the latter statement is valuable because of cost effective and reduces local traffic.
