Student answer (Band 4.5)

In many religons, numerious people belive that, it is very essential to spent a lot of money on construction new raily lines for higt speed trains in cities while others think that money should be use on improving the people transport in my personal opinion, money should be invest for public transport instead of fast trains beacuse there are spacific resons that provr this.

First of all, according to first view, no doubt trains is very crucial for now-a-days most people want a confortable and relex traval so he recommend transport instead of trains. Moreover, hugh money is used for construction new raily lines. So few people travel into another city on special occasion but mostly thay used other trafic. That's why it is useless to invest money on trains. Moreover, fast trains also causes many accedient. In a single accident, many people loss their lifes so in my personal opinion, people used public transport instead of fast trains.

On the other side, some people think that sum of money is spend on public transportation instead of bullets train i strongly agree with the people beacuse trains have many disadvantages as compare to buses. If we invest money on public transport that we can solve lot of problems. For example, if we spend money on paid roads then people easily reach on their destination on time. It causes time saving. Moreover, some transports are very in poor conditions. So peoples feel hasitation to travel and if the people travel then thay fell very tirdness. If money is spend on this problem then people fell very relex and prefer to move on buses. In addition, theere are shortage of buses if we spand money on new buses then people easily enjoy. And many drivers are jobless then people eadily get jobs.

To conclude, no dout trains are very important for long distance but it also causes many disadvantages like air polution and noise polution but in my personal opinion money should be spend on public buses for people safety.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both views regarding fast trains versus public transport and attempts to give a personal opinion, though the stance is somewhat confused by contradictory phrasing. The student tries to extend ideas by discussing safety, cost, and job creation, but these points are largely underdeveloped and contain sweeping generalisations. Furthermore, there is an irrelevant opening reference to 'religons' which detracts from the prompt focus. The arguments lack sophisticated elaboration and logical progression. Consequently, the response aligns best with Band 5, as it addresses the task partially with limited and under-developed ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

Paragraphing is attempted, with the essay broken into an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the overall logical progression is frequently disrupted by poor transitions and confusing sequencing. Cohesive devices are either inadequate or awkwardly used, such as repetitive starting phrases like 'First of all,' and 'Moreover,' which appear multiple times and become mechanical. Referencing is also unclear in places, making it difficult to follow the line of argument. This overall organisational weakness fits the Band 5 descriptors.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently impeded by severe spelling errors and poor word choice. Examples include 'religons' for religions, 'numerious' for numerous, 'belive' for believe, 'spent' for spend, 'higt' for high, and 'accedient' for accidents. The student attempts less common vocabulary but demonstrates very poor control over word formation and collocation, such as 'hugh money' and 'air polution'. These frequent lexical errors cause significant strain for the reader, placing the response firmly in Band 4.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

Grammatical control is weak throughout the response, featuring a very limited range of structures and frequent major errors. The text contains numerous run-on sentences with comma splices, incorrect verb tenses, and subject-verb agreement issues, such as 'money should be invest', 'trains is very crucial', and 'peoples feel hasitation'. Complex sentence attempts are almost uniformly faulty. Because errors are frequent, distort meaning in places, and impede smooth reading, the writing earns a Band 4 for grammatical accuracy.
