Student answer (Band 5.5)
it is often considered that nations should allocate their funds in railways sectors while others belive that goverment should spent money on constructing new highways. Cerntainly this is frutful approchs which needs to be uncountable benefits such as relief in traffic jams and save the time.
To begin with, although there are myroid of reasons behind investing the money on the railway sector but one of the prime reasons is trains are faster. Trains moves quickly to one destination to the another with no traffic. As a result, no only it saves people valuable time but also they can invest in the other activities. For instance, a survey was conducted among the people where they asked what is best transport for travelling for long distances. Majority of the people choosed the trains and when they were persued for why they selected railways their simple answer was that it is very quick and ecofriendly.
On the other hand, people who thought that goverment should invest their money upon constructing new highways because highways can connect any city to any location. People can go easily to any place by using roads. Any kind of vehicle individuals can easily access upon roads. Individuals can go any destination at any weather condition.
Overall, investing money on railways can save people time however, roads can help people to easily access to any destination. I beleive that goverment should invest upon both which resultant public will have both abilty and traffic would be overcome over the period.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your response addresses the task partially by discussing both views on public transport spending and offering a personal opinion in the conclusion. However, your ideas remain somewhat limited and under-developed. For instance, while you mention that new highways connect locations and work in any weather, this point is stated briefly without sufficient expansion or specific examples. Similarly, your argument regarding railways focuses heavily on speed and time-saving, but lacks deeper elaboration on the broader economic or societal impacts. To move to a higher level, you need to extend your arguments further, providing more comprehensive explanations and fully developed support for both sides of the debate before presenting your final perspective.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
There is a coherent overall arrangement to your essay, with clear paragraphing that separates the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. You attempt to use cohesive devices to guide the reader, such as 'To begin with,' 'As a result,' and 'On the other hand.' However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical. For example, the transition between ideas can feel abrupt, and referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in phrases like 'this is frutful approchs' where the antecedent is vague. To achieve a higher score, you should ensure that cohesive devices connect your ideas more smoothly and naturally, without relying on repetitive transitional formulas, and establish a clearer logical progression throughout.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary range is limited but minimally adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate basic ideas about transport systems. You attempt some less common words, such as 'myrioid' and 'ecofriendly,' but these attempts are accompanied by noticeable errors in word form, choice, and spelling, such as 'belive,' 'goverment,' 'spent' instead of spend, and 'frutful approchs.' These inaccuracies occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader. To improve your lexical score, you need to use a wider range of vocabulary with greater precision, pay closer attention to spelling and word forms, and demonstrate better control over collocations related to the topic of infrastructure and public spending.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You demonstrate a limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on basic forms alongside attempts at complex sentences that are often faulty. There are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation throughout your text, including subject-verb agreement issues like 'Trains moves quickly,' misuse of articles, and awkward prepositional patterns. For instance, writing 'spend money on constructing new highways' uses appropriate patterns, but phrases like 'invest their money upon constructing' show weak control. To reach the next level, you should incorporate a wider variety of error-free complex sentence structures and reduce the frequency of basic grammatical slips that can cause difficulty for the reader.
