Student answer (Band 4.5)
In many nation of world, individuals think it is important to invest large sums of money on constructing new railway lines for fast trains between urban areas. Others believe the money should be spent on improving existing public transport.
While, if government invest large amount of money on build a railway lines for fast train between large cities so it is very benifical for the human because railway is much cheaper than vehicals or buses. Railway can help reduce the traffic in road. When people travel in railway then the fuel consuption is decrease. The vehicals and large buses consumption is reduce. Its main benifit is good environment. The air pollution decrease day by day. And the train is fast than vehicals so the train save more time and it can easier. The cities become more beautifull, peacefull, trafficless roads, more clean, good environment.
On the other hand, others individuals believe the investment should be spent on improving existing public transport. It is great thing but if we compare railway train and public transport. So, both are good and public tranport should increase the people who can work. More people can get a job or it is benifical for lower class people.
In the end, the main thing which idea is the best for the local people and trourist. In my opinion, railway trains is the best idea to improve the country economy amd improve the beauty of the cities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You address both views and state a preference for new railway lines, with relevant points about reducing road traffic, fuel use and air pollution. However, the comparison with improving existing transport is very brief: the point that this could create jobs or help lower-income people is not explained or supported with an example. Your conclusion repeats your preference but gives little further justification. The response also contains 210 words, so it is 40 words below the required minimum; 30 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. This limits the development of your ideas and leaves the task only partially addressed. To strengthen the response, explain each side in more depth and support your opinion with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. The contrast marker “On the other hand” helps signal the shift to the second position, and the reader can identify your main preference. However, progression within paragraphs is weak. In the first body paragraph, several benefits are listed in succession, while “And” repeatedly begins new points rather than showing how they relate. The second body paragraph moves from public transport to employment without explaining the connection, and “So” does not create a clear logical link. Use topic sentences and develop one point at a time, with linking phrases that show cause, contrast or example.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use basic vocabulary relevant to transport and its effects, including “traffic,” “fuel consumption,” “air pollution” and “economy,” so the main topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “good” and “beneficial.” Some choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “trafficless roads,” “the people who can work” and “the beauty of the cities.” There are also spelling errors, including “benifical,” “consuption” and “trourist,” which reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise transport-related vocabulary and check spelling carefully. For example, you could describe cleaner air as an environmental benefit and say that improved transport can increase access to employment.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt some longer sentences, including a conditional structure beginning “if government invest,” but control is weak and most sentences rely on simple patterns. Errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction are frequent and sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “if government invest” needs a correctly formed subject and verb, while “the fuel consuption is decrease” has an incorrect verb construction. “The train is fast than vehicals” also shows difficulty forming comparisons. Several fragments, such as “The air pollution decrease day by day,” are not connected smoothly to the surrounding ideas. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then build longer sentences using clauses such as “because” and “which,” checking agreement and verb forms.
