Student answer (Band 4.5)
In this statement talk about a spent money on constructing new railway lines for very fast trains and some says that more money sent on improving existing public transport. I completely agree with both views. I will explain these statements in the following.
Nowadays, in every country is required a constructing new railway lines amd improving public transport so that people easily travel in train and public transport. In my point of view country spent money on constructing new railway lines so that trains very fast and easily becoming travel. In some countries do not paid attention on constructingnew railway lines. It is more important. Therefore, i should constructing new railway lines.
In some countries just focus on build new railway lines and roads they do not focus on improving public transport. In case they do not available good transport in country so do not benefite new roads because good transport is more important than build a new railways and roads. While countries spent money on construction on new railways but some money spent on improving public transport. Therefore, i completely agree with improving public transport.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify both sides of the discussion and state a position, for example, “I completely agree with both views.” However, this position is not sufficiently clear: the essay does not explain how you weigh the two proposals or when one should take priority. The points about fast trains and public transport are relevant, but they are mostly asserted rather than supported with reasons or examples. The comparison that good transport is “more important than build a new railways and roads” is difficult to follow and is not developed. The response contains 203 words, below the required 250; the 10 words copied from the task prompt were excluded. To strengthen the response, explain each view with a specific benefit and example, then give a consistent, clearly justified opinion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion, so the reader can recognise its basic structure. You also use signposts such as “In my point of view,” “Therefore,” and “In conclusion.” However, progression within paragraphs is weak: ideas are repeated, and the relationship between building railways and improving transport is not always clear. For instance, “While countries spent money on construction on new railways but some money spent on improving public transport” does not clearly connect the two sides. Some linking phrases feel mechanical rather than showing a precise logical relationship. Organise each body paragraph around one main claim, explain it in sequence, and use clear references and transitions to connect the explanation to your opinion.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use a small set of relevant topic words, including “railway lines,” “public transport,” “countries,” and “people,” which makes the general subject recognisable. However, vocabulary is basic and repetitive, and several word choices or combinations make the meaning difficult to understand. Phrases such as “a spent money,” “easily becoming travel,” and “do not benefite new roads” are not natural or precise. There are also spelling and form errors, including “amd,” “constructingnew,” and “benefite.” Build a wider set of accurate transport-related expressions and check spelling and word forms. For example, describe the benefits of high-speed rail or improvements to local services rather than repeating “more important” without specifying the advantage.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both short statements and longer sentences, and the basic message can usually be identified. However, sentence structures are limited, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur frequently. Examples include “in every country is required a constructing,” “country spent money,” and “In some countries do not paid attention.” Several sentences combine clauses without a clear grammatical structure, as in “In case they do not available good transport in country so do not benefite new roads.” These problems sometimes make the intended meaning hard to follow. Practise forming complete subject–verb sentences, then add subordinate clauses accurately. Check agreement and verb patterns, and use full stops to separate ideas when a sentence becomes difficult to control.
