Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You present a preference for improving existing transport, and you do mention reasons on both sides: lower spending and time savings for existing services, and faster journeys between cities on new rail lines. However, the discussion is only partial because the reasons are brief and sometimes unclear. For example, “people easily go to another way” does not explain what improvement to existing transport is being proposed, while the case for fast trains is mostly limited to saving time. Your position is also expressed inconsistently: “construct the oldest public transport” is unclear, and the conclusion repeats the preference without adding support. Develop each view with a specific, relevant example and state your position clearly from the introduction onward.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This gives the reader some organisation, and “However” signals a shift to the opposing view. Nevertheless, progression within paragraphs is weak: several claims are placed together without clear explanation, such as saving vehicles, saving petrol, saving time, and reducing crowding. Connect each reason to the main point and explain how it supports it. Linking phrases such as “First and foremost,” “As well as,” and repeated uses of “when” are either mechanical or do not show the relationship between ideas accurately. Clearer topic sentences and more precise referencing would make the argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “railway lines,” “public transport,” “government,” “budget,” and “cities,” so the topic is generally identifiable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “old public transport,” “new,” and “save time.” Frequent spelling errors, including “fats,” “transpot,” “mony,” and “journy,” make reading less smooth. Some choices also obscure meaning: “construct the oldest public transport” does not clearly express your intended preference, and “safe his vehicals” appears to mean saving money on vehicles or fuel. Build a more accurate set of transport collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt longer sentences using clauses introduced by “when” and “while,” but these structures are often faulty, and most sentences rely on simple patterns. For example, “some people thinks that spent on improving old public transport” lacks a complete, correctly formed clause, while “the money should be invest” has an incorrect passive verb form. Subject–verb agreement is also inconsistent in “other believe” and “people thinks.” Articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries need attention; several clauses are joined with commas, and the conclusion contains the fragment-like wording “When they contruct new they wast large amount of budget.” Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
